Instead of debating your opinion versus my opinion, I'm just going to choose to ignore the facts like some SK posters.:thumb:

You never bring any facts to the table, I know what they have coming back and they are not done...Will they be as good early in the year probably no they will struggle, but SK has the players returning to continue to win multiple games in the playoffs, which is quite a turn around from years past...You say talent will be down and of course it will, I believe from year to year every team loses talent, but since it's SK I guess they can't have new talent step up next year? Is that what your trying to say? I guess when Elliot graduates Ryle will never be good again, when Pike leaves Dixie they will never have another good QB, when Towles graduates Highlands will struggle next year, Right! Wrong that's never how it works Highlands reloads, Dixie may very well be better when Pike leaves who knows, maybe in a few years their will be another Travis Elliott for Ryle. Well next year it's a fact that SK will have a capable QB not Lawrence but a capable QB, they will have a better RB for sure and their Defense will be one of the better ones in the area, I know I follow the program. It just seems like SK gets put on a different platform then the other schools, the other schools reload, who's to say SK won't?

You make a good argument. SK may be in the early stages of building quite the dynasty, and none of us on here know. But, I am like many others on here, and I will believe it when I see it.

 

So, to prove the point that SK is on the way up, what better way to showcase that than by playing Highlands over the next two years?

 

Evidently, the Bulldog has called Highlands out for ducking SK, and I believe there have been numerous posters in this thread who claimed to have the connections to get Dale to the table to make the game a reality.

 

The only question remaining is if the Bulldog, or someone in the SK contingent can bring Coach Marksberry to the table.

I agree with this post all the way. If I was the SK players I would be all over Marksberry telling him we want a chance to prove ourselves against the almighty Bluebirds.

Yes, I remember this game vividly as my son played on this team and SK was the better team that day. Oh yeah the PA announcer was a hoot that day as he does like to hide behind his mic quite often. LOL.

 

I believe SK beat them twice that year. Once in the regular season and then in the Championship game.

I am writing to help you out for your next broadcast............. "ducking" would be defined as a team that is unwilling to take on a worthy opponent when invited to do so. Note the operative word here being "invited" to do so. Suggesting that a program that has played most of the top programs in Cincy and within the Commonwealth over the past fifteen years on a consistent basis is "ducking" your beloved home team is hardly a starting place to give your program credibility. Since you and I have no first-hand knowledge whether these invitations were offered or not, perhaps we should stick to what we do know. In your case this might result in some dead air time............perhaps that is the better alternative anyway?

 

Of course another example of "ducking" would be when one lowers their head to avoid being punched in the face.........either way I'm not sure you're getting it. :confused:

Things change a lot in three years. That game doesn't mean that much as it pertains to which team is better now. And it clearly means nothing as to next year's teams.

I agree. It all comes down to coaching. SK has had a very talented pool of kids over the last 3 years. I firmly believe that you can have all the talent in the world on your team but, if the coaching is not there then you still have nothing. If not for the talent and drive to win of these young men, then who knows where SK would have ended up these last few years.

SK needs to beat Ryle on a consistent basis before they start popping off about anything!!!!

 

It is easy to doubt SK because history has shown that they have not been consistent winners.

Yea but everybody is saying SK has no talent coming up well Brean Kuntz should be the future QB for SK he is a freshman! Also the SK coach is on 1160 right now!

I was responding to the folks that are saying SK will be mediocre again next year so what's the point in Highlands playing them. SK will have a very nice ball team next year.
