The key to future success for SK is winning now. If SK wants to continue their winning ways then they need to get the talent that is in Kenton County. Many players go where they think they have a better chance of winning. If SK goes back to losing then many of the players that are not sure about what school they are going to attend might choose to go to another local high school because of Kenton County's open enrollment. If SK wants to continue to be competitive then they need to continue to be above 500. Which might mean playing teams that aren't as talented to keep the over all record looking good.

 

I understand the "soft" mentality for a small school, but c'mon, they are a 6A school with one of the largest and fastest growing counties in the State. Step up and play some quality teams "outside" of the District.

Until SK gets another "stud", they'll continue to duck the Birds.

There are many teams in nky that want nothing to do with the Birds and SK is just one of the many. Heck, I think Coach Borchers and Cooper would step up to the plate before SK.

Question...why doesn't Highlands and NCC schedule eachother? I think that could turn in to a decent rivalry since all of the kids know and grow up together.

 

Obviously Highlands would be too much for the Breds more often than not, but I'd love to see those two on a yearly basis.

Are you sure he lives in Walton? Why doesn't his son go to Walton Verona? Surely his son isn't playing football for a school outside the district they reside in. I'm just kidding, I have no idea if Walton is within the SK district or not, I just think it would be funny for him to rip on Highlands while sending his own to school outside the district they are supposed to attend.

When was the last time Simon scheduled a Cincy big boy prior to this season? Not to mention, Middletown was apparently supposed to have fallen off significantly from the 2009 season. Might SK have scheduled with high hopes of playing a down GMC school? And, If my memory is correct, the bluebirds have had a steady dose of big time schools on there plates in the recent past.

SK won't play Highlands next year because their coach knows his team will return to being .500 team.
