Perhaps the Bulldog will hear from his many SK followers that the Birds faithful are rippin him on BGP. Maybe he will setup the call on 700 WLW and get this game done and pull one of his stunts and hype this game up with all profits going to a charitable group. Maybe he will throw BGP a bone and promote them on his radio show. The game could be named "BGP King of the Hill" game of the yr, NKY additon of course. Jump in anytime Guru.

There are people to all publicity is good publicity. Sometimes that is false, example Lane Kiffin. But in this case, puppy dog keeps pointing out that Highlands is winning, and he claims people transfer to Highlands because it is a better football program. Whether he thinks Highlands "R"s or not, he is pointing out that people leave their school for a potential better opportunity. The stuff he attempts to portray as negative are actually doing the opposite of what he is trying to do. He clearly cheers against Highlands, must be tough to be a hater these days.

I remember when this years seniors played in the Freshman Championship game. Highlands vs. Simon Kenton at Simon Kenton. Simon Kenton won that game. Deters was on the PA system announcing the game. He was so obnoxius that the refs had to stop the game , walk over and tell him to either just call the game or shut off the PA. He was running his mouth about Highlands and players over the PA adding his color commentary for everything that nobody wants to listen to just like his radio show, which nobody want to listen to either.:ohbrother:

 

I remember that, SK's coach even came over and yelled at him to knock it off.

SK won't play Highlands next year because their coach knows his team will return to being .500 team.

 

I'm not sure they'll be that good.

Well their spokesman is saying differently. Apparently HHS won't play SK according to him. Something about nothing better than a "home grown" team in Independence than one that, uuhhhh, can't say it, but you know, how HHS gets their players. Actually, I'm off to one of those games where HHS gets their players from.:thumb:

That's not the question here. It's why won't SK step up and play HHS the next two years. Didn't last week, SK petition the KHSAA to keep them in the NKY District stating the following reason. "Too far to travel". Uh how far is Ft. Thomas to Independence? What, 15 min! They will go play Middletown, at Nippert, and get blasted but won't play a home and home series with a NKY team. WOW!!! Step up boys and Bulldog. Make it happen. Hey Bulldog, and I know you are reading, we will even give you the credit for getting it done. Call Dale and Coach Marksberry and do it on your radio show. That way, we all win.

The key to future success for SK is winning now. If SK wants to continue their winning ways then they need to get the talent that is in Kenton County. Many players go where they think they have a better chance of winning. If SK goes back to losing then many of the players that are not sure about what school they are going to attend might choose to go to another local high school because of Kenton County's open enrollment. If SK wants to continue to be competitive then they need to continue to be above 500. Which might mean playing teams that aren't as talented to keep the over all record looking good.
