It's time for the backs to have a big game. The ball will be put in their hands. If they fumble, look for screens and keepers to seal the deal...Elliott will be much more effective than in the 1st game and Hempel will put together an effective passing effort. All in all, could go either way. Both teams will have their hands full.

Not a secret...just a reminder...one that apparently you didn't need.

Good for you.

Also, a reminder...for others perhaps...that the last time time these two teams met, Ryle led 14-7... with one play remaining in the first half...AT Highlands.

As you know, Ryle is ranked number 3 in 6A...behind Trinity and St. Xavier.

They can win this game.

Again, as you know... Ryle has lost only one game this season...to HHS.

A Ryle win makes football HISTORY for their program...that is a lot of motivation...on their home field.

I hope HHS thinks they are the underdog...and plays like a team with alot to prove.

Is it me, or do you have a different feel for this game than the past. It's almost as if you know something the rest of us don't. I keep reading these subliminal messages you keep putting out there. Things like "head in the sand" and "flying with one wing" and people being "misinformed". Oh and somehow knowing Elliott will be more effective. Hempel putting together a more effective passing effort. Hmmm!!! Care to enlighten those who are on the outside?

I think it is appropriate to point out that HHS will NOT go undefeated forever...and that doesn't make me less of a supporter of HHS...just somewhat of a realist.

Darn!

Whatever happens Ryle will show better than any other team in NKY would and there are plenty on the outside looking in.

I am obviously rooting for Ryle to win this game. That said, I would feel very good going into the 6A playoffs with a healthy roster of Raiders that were still in this game with less than 5 minutes left to play against a program with the caliber of players and coaches from Ft. Thomas. For Ryle to be in this game and have a shot, they will have to put it all together and not let up on even one play. The Birds will make you pay for even the smallest mistakes that you may get away with against other NKY teams. I know there are a bunch of Highlands haters on BGP and most of it is pure jealousy. You have to admire the job they do year in and year out. Good luck Raiders! Make us proud boys!

I believe every HHS fan that witnessed the first game realizes that Ryle most certainly has the ability to win tomorrow night. I can't imagine that the players will not be fired up and ready to play. Go Birds!

:thumb: Very well stated. Raiders have what it takes to get it done! Beat Birds!

100% agreed except the Go Birds part. Take it easy Birds! Go Raiders!

I think the birds win this one, just like the others... taking advantage of Ryle mistakes or unnecessary gambles by the coaching staff. Ryle's defense has been hit hard by injuries and if Ryle's offense does not control the ball, it could get ugly. Best case scenario... Ryle's offense possesses the ball for majority of game and they have no turnovers... but lose 21-17.

Would it be fair to say this is the biggest game in Ryles Football history? A great challenge for two quality programs.Go Birds!

Nah....Ask the Ryle team of 1995 who handed to the Birds in Union. If I remember correctly, the Birds ended up playing Bowling Green in the Finals that year. That was a pretty darn good Ryle team!!!! Anybody remember? With that, Win or lose Thursday night the Birds will roll right along.
