October 10, 201015 yr Maybe they should play better. Palmer deserved it I agree, with all that offense Bengals should average 30+ a game easy. Agreed. There is no reason this team should be this bad offensively. Bob Bratkowski better not be back after this year, I wish he would be fired during this bye week. Even the announcers today very much questioned the play calling. It would be nice to have Billick as the OC. At QB they can't do to much because of no backups, and probably won't be to much out there realistically free agent wise after this year. So draft a guy and have him sit and learn for a year or so behind Palmer. Then just hope during that time that maybe even Palmer gets it figured out with a new OC. Right now with how they do things its just bad all around. The play calling is always bad, the line sucks and gets penatlies too, Palmer making some bad throws and decisions, and when Palmer does make a good throw the receivers drop it. The last two drives showcased that, the interception to tie it was a bad throw, and then the last throw Chad drops it and leads to interception. Everything about what they do is just bad right now.

If you think any of this is on the receiver's you're blind. When there's a minute left, what makes you think it's a good idea to throw into double coverage? Please don't make excuses for one of the worst quarterbacks in the national football league. I'm honestly sick of them. Well even though I agree Palmer sucked today. You are blind if you say none of it is on the receivers. If the receivers catch the passes then the Bengals probably score more than 21 points. If TO does not get a pass interference the Bengals probably win the game. Then on that last pass it was right there and hit Chad right there in the hands. That is a pass that receivers have to catch. I mean yes it is very easy to blame one person for things being bad. However if you want to talk about people being blind, then you are just as blind if you don't see how the receivers play abig part in it. Yes if Carson doesn't make some bad throws they win, if receivers catch they win, if line blocks better and doesn't have stupid penalties to kill drives they win. If they had an OC who is not always so predictable they win. They all just suck, its not just one man.

When Caldwell dropped two? when there were 4 false start penalties? Palmer has blame in this debacle but not all of it.

October 10, 201015 yr I would love to be able to find the thread when I said months and months ago how terrible Carson was and how many people disagreed with me. He is, without question, in the bottom 10 (maybe 5) quarterbacks in the NFL. It's hard to watch him suck so freakin' bad. Shouldn't futurecoach just go ahead and change his avatar? October 10, 201015 yr I don't mean to start a bash party with Palmer the target, but listening to the game on the radio Lapham kept talking about the Bengals going to lengths to surround Carson with weapons. Frankly, it's been like putting lace on a turd so far. How long will it be that they stick with him under center?
October 10, 201015 yr So which of the penalties and 4 false starts that killed drives were his fault? Which of the balls that hit TO, Chad or Caldwell in the hands and wer dropped were his fault? Even Billick pointed out that Chad runs whatever routes he wants and him and Palmer are off sync on them. Definitely he has to improve his play but there are plenty that are not living up to their mouth and self-hype. You failed to give an excuse for the pick 6 in the 1st half. Love to hear what you come up for that?

October 10, 201015 yr Historically, QB's get WAY...........to much credit when a team wins, and WAY.............to much blame when a team loses. Just goes with the territory of the position. If Lewis and Bratkowski make the correct play calls in crunch time, all of this bashing would not be happening.
