The Reds have completely mishandled the Scott Rolen situation. They've played the entire 2nd half a man down thus far....Might as well just send him to the DL and give him the extra week at this point.
According to John Fay they've handled it well and he should be 2 more days and be back. Saved them 5days on the DL. But what does Fay know?

They've been saying for the past 3 days that "they hope he'll be back tomorrow"....I'm not convinced he's going to be back soon.

Been very busy this weekend but got to listen to a bit of the weekend games so far. Two good wins versus the Astros, especially yesterday against the Red's killer, Oswalt. I guess somebody should bottle Cueto's illness and inject every pitcher on the staff. That must have been some performance although I question the 122 pitches with a big lead like that. I guess Dusty felt the pen deserved some rest. You guys all know the faith I have in the skipper. Let's get the sweep today versus Wandy and get out of town in 1st place.

I disagree. One man down on the roster. Whoever they could have brought up gets a few big boy ABs. IMO Rolen should have never went to the All Star game. He was hurting before he went. 4 days rest may have circumvented this absence. The whole "flu" thing was kind of funny. Not buying that. And John Fay is a schill for the Reds.

Today's game depends on what kind of line-up Dusty's puts on the field. Sunday's have been tough on us and I believe have lost 1-0 the last two Sunday's.

Dusty rested Cairo and Gomes last night. Should come back with the starters today?

I'm with UKMF here. So they save a possible 5 days to play a man down 10 times and they play a ton of close games? He should have been sent to the DL. He could use the extra 5 days even if he thinks he's ready. He for sure should have sat out the All Star game and break.

My man Heisey tees off.

I claimed him first as my favorite player to cheer for...back off lol.

I knew there must have been something to gripe about after the 7-0 win...knew someone would find it.

Brandon Phillips 4

Orlando Cabrera 6

Joey Votto 3

Jonny Gomes 7

Chris Heisey 9

Miguel Cairo 5

Drew Stubbs 8

Ryan Hanigan 2

Mike Leake RHP

Some of you are unbelievable. Predictable, yet unbelievable.

If Cueto threw 122 pitches, it is something worth griping about.

Cueto's last three outings before the 122 pitch count....

101,100, 90 pitches. It's not like he's thrown 115 pitches every time out. He's only got to the 110 pitch mark 5 times this year.
