Wonder who we are going to get the rest of the season?

Saturday's Volquez or Today's Volquez?

Probably somewhere in between Volquez.

Phillies and Cards, no score headed to the 8th. St. Louis has just 1 hit on the day.

Yeah, we will see what this team is made of. They have dealt with adversity all year and always bounced back, there have been people saying "okay, this is the loss that will start the downward slide...." and they have always bounced back.

You would think their starting pitching is strong enough to avoid any long losing streaks, but they are only 3 games up in the wild card. While the Mets, Phillies are having their own struggles, we know they are going to add pieces in the next 10 days. I wouldn't rely on that wild card safety net if they fall 3 and 4 games behind the Cardinals.

The Giants lead the wild card by .001 over the Reds.

The Giants lead the wild card by .001 over the Reds.

That's right, the Padres lead that division, forgot all about the Giants. Well, it's called a "wild" card and like many years, it will involve a handful of teams fighting for that one spot.

Looking at the Wild Card standings, Rockies just a game back from the Reds/Giants, my goodness.

ANYHOO, Cards and Phillies no score going to the 11th.

Polanco just homered to put the Phillies on the board, 1-0.

Yep, no sooner do I post the update, I click back to the gametracker thing and sure enough, 1-0 Phils.

Now 2-0 Phillies, they have the bases loaded and just one out in the top of 11th.

Schue and I have said it before; the Reds win more often than not with Rolen and they win much less frequency with out him. Hopefully, before long they can start Rolen, Rolen, Rolen...

It's time that the Reds look for a bat. I love our team, but we are getting little from Bruce,Stubbs, and Cabrara.

A .250 average is not going to cut it. And Bruce has 1 RBI this month.

^ Your name is brewcrew and you're a Reds fan? I'm assuming your name doesn't mean for the Brewers then?
