Thats so misconstrued. Maybe after not throwing a baseball for 16 days you'd be rusty. But theres no excuse for what Owings did last night. That is what bullpen sessions are for. To stay polished. I pitched in college and still pitch and thats not a good excuse for a pitcher.
July 21, 201016 yr I will tell you something I don't like and its not often I complain about the Reds organization... I don't like the fact that there are Strasburg t-shirts and jersies hanging in the front window of some of the merchandising stores within GABP. Maybe I'm old school, but that is just me.

It's all about $$ man. Whether right or wrong, those shirts and jerseys are going to sell, and probably more so than most others. Either way, I can't wait to see a good pitching battle at the ballpark tonight.

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with a Major League Baseball team promoting an MLB product, even if it's a player from another team.

July 21, 201016 yr My guess is that its apples and oranges between MLB and D3. I've never pitched so I could be wrong. It's also different in the bullpen than it is in a game situation. Sure, you're supposed to make the bullpen sessions "game-like", but you can't simulate a live hitter, a strike zone, etc. There's no excuse for Owings not throwing strikes, but when you haven't taken the hill in 16 days, what do you expect?
July 21, 201016 yr Fisher has been much better for Louisville... Pretty similiar number in their last 10 games. Fisher got lit up last time he was in the bigs.
