July 19, 201016 yr Go back and look at last week's track the Red's thread, you'll see it. It's not a good idea to squeeze against a closer, especially one as wild as Street was Sunday. Simple as that.
July 20, 201016 yr I agree with you and "you" and EZ. Dusty is not a good manager. A good guy, a guy the player's apparently like playing for, but not someone I want managing my team in a tight game with a lot on the line. There are times when teams win with poor managers or coaches. Hell, the Bengals won 10 games with a guy at the helm that makes you cringe at some of the things he does. The Reds may win 88 or 90 games with Baker calling the shots this year. It happens. I hope that they win a World Series with Baker, but some of his ludicrous thinking will make the path a lot tougher, even with all that terrific pitching. I would absolutely be tickled to death to see ole toothpick win a WS here, but odds are he will be run out of town before a trophy is raised on Fountain Square. Good guy... Poor manager. Just curious, but are you as much of a Bengals fan as you are a Reds fan?
July 20, 201016 yr Did anyone else think Cueto got squeezed all night by the umpire? I can't remember the last game I watched where the umpire missed that many calls based on the strike box graphic. I kept yelling where was that one? And I was right to ask because it seemed like every time they put that up on a borderline pitch that was called a ball, the pitch showed up right on the edge of the box.
July 20, 201016 yr Here's hoping Rolen isn't headed to the DL but it's looking more and more like he will be. The Red's are 6-11 without him in the lineup and can ill afford to be without him for an extended period of time.
July 20, 201016 yr I wonder what Dusty Baker did wrong today. Gave up 2 runs, Reds should have won 7-0
