July 18, 201016 yr Author Should have brought out the brooms against the Rocks but the team swung early and often against Cook as if they had an early reservation at Mama Rosa's Italian Buffet. It would be great to go 6-1 this week and add a couple or three games to the lead in the Central.

July 19, 201016 yr The sky isn't falling as GT derisively posted at the end of last weeks thread but the Reds are only 21-22 since May 29th. The Cards have been just as bad but they have won 4 in a row. If they are actually getting hot the Reds need to step it up, not only this week but the rest of the way. Volquez return is like picking up a starter in a trade, hopefully Rolen's absence is just due to sickness and not lingering effects of the neck problem. This is a big stretch for the Reds, 10 games against bad teams while the Cards play 7 of 10 against teams with winning records. The Reds have the easiest schedule the rest of the way, they're healthy--they have no excuses. Time to go out and win the division.

July 19, 201016 yr It's just a shame I didn't get on in time to comment on week 1 before they closed it. A great article on Dusty needing to be fired and why. I also noticed that several people thought maybe a squeeze was in order there in the 9th. Don't they know how stupid that is, you don't do that in the major leagues. Hahaha!!

Dusty is a very good player's manager and the players all seem to like him but he doesn't have a clue when it comes to being able to help the team win close games. There are so many 1 run games where the manager makes a huge difference in the outcome and I'm sorry but I think Dusty lacks sorely in that regard.
