March 24, 201016 yr I tend to stay on that side of the river. I try to as well. We'll see. I don't think Cal would have let Pilgrim go if he didn't have a well thought out plan for the future.
March 24, 201016 yr Hey I personally think that next year we are going to wish that he was still at UK, so I agree with you. But, I also have to take into account that Cal knows what's best for the team so I see both sides. :thumb: I wonder if Coach Cal would have made the same decision if he had to do it again. Remember when Cal was having some of those practices and evaluating players, Pilgrim had a slight pull in his hamstring. So he didn't get to participate to much. Not to mention I am sure Harrellson looks great in practice shooting threes. Now that he has got to see Harrellson all year, and seen how Pilgrim did at OSU. I don't think he would have made the same decision if he had to do it over again. :thumb:

If Orton stays, this will be a non issue, and may be anyway.
March 26, 201016 yr I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but I'd imagine his name is pronounced like Enos, the popular Dukes of Hazzard deputy. A matter of fact, I'd imagine he was named after him.

Not sure why you constantly bring up Pilgrim though. :idunno:
March 26, 201016 yr The thing with Pilgrim isn't about Cal's decision, but more about Pilgrim's decision. Cal gave him the option to stay, but straight up told him he would more than likely not leave his seat on the bench except for timeouts. He knew Pilgrim was talented and hinted that he should use his talent somewhere he could get the playing time he deserved. Harrellson on the otherhand was cool with the role and just stoked to remain on the team and waive the towel. If Pilgrim wanted to do the same, he could have.

April 9, 201016 yr And eligible to play from day 1? I asked Doyel and this is what he said "That, I don't know. But there aren't any major, season-sapping issues around him at the moment, no. "
April 9, 201016 yr Greg Doyle from CBSsports says Enes Kanter is cleared by the NCAA clearinghouse for next year, reported today. We all know that in reality this means nothing. Because the clearinghouse can come back later and tell us that in fact he wasn't eligible .
April 9, 201016 yr Read this on Kanter today. Seems like a hardnosed type of player with a nice outside shot. Unsurprisingly, Enes Kanter (height with shoes: 6’10.5, weight: 255, wingspan: 7’1) had a very strong performance. The former Fenerbahce prospect and current Kentucky commit performed at a high level on both ends throughout practice. Working the block and high post, he flashed the same outstanding toughness and patience in the post that made him a dominant junior player, but stepped out and knocked a handful of catch and shoot jumpers down from just inside the college three point line. Crashing the glass relentlessly as he so often does, Kanter was very active on defense too, challenging shots, boxing out, and competing at a high level. Though he’s not an elite athlete, Kanter’s skill level is evident in settings like these. He’s relentless in his pursuit of the ball off the rim, and has simply fantastic hands. One of the more interesting storylines of the Hoop Summit will be Kanter’s impending matchup with McDonald’s All-American Game MVP Jared Sullinger. Neither will wow anyone with their pure explosiveness, but both are highly skilled competitors who play the game like veterans. http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Nike-Hoop-Summit-Practices-Day-One-3429/

April 10, 201016 yr Is that game this weekend that Kanter is in? If so what time and channel? I wouldn't read too much into anyone on how they play though, Cousins did not play too well in this game last year as I recall.
