March 24, 201016 yr Author The rule and it's chances of passing are explained here http://tourney.si.com/2010/03/24/new-rule-could-clear-way-for-kanter/?eref=twitter_feed Great find, Mr. Moderator.
March 24, 201016 yr Nice. Sounds like the rule will pass. We should know on April 26, 2010. If Kanter is suspended, the number of games played in Europe does not bode well for his chances of EVER playing collegiate basketball.
March 24, 201016 yr Which still makes you wonder why he kept Harelson over Pilgrim. That is still the only move Coach Cal has made, that I think was not the best. Seriously, I doubt Pilgrim seeing much time this year, and probably next if Orton stays. What's the dealio?
March 24, 201016 yr  Seriously, I doubt Pilgrim seeing much time this year, and probably next if Orton stays. What's the dealio? Your right he wouldn't have played to much this year. However he would have filled in very nicely for Patterson next year, when he leaves. As it stands now we have this new guy in Kanter, and MAYBE Orton. As great as our freshman were this year, lets not think it will be like that every year. Kanter will have a hard time doing as well as say Cousins did for us this year. We are losing 3 out of 4 post players this year, and maybe even 4 depending on Orton. So we won't have as much depth next year. I would hope you could even admit, it would be better to have Pilgrim playing, than possibly Harrellson getting any minutes. Pilgrim proved at the end of the season, that he can play.
March 24, 201016 yr Its over man. Give it up. :ohbrother: Funny coming from someone, who still likes to take shots at a coach who has been gone for 3 years...:sssh:

In any event, I don't think we'll miss him that much no matter what happens. I could be wrong.

March 24, 201016 yr I can't imagine that Pilgrim wouldn't get alot of run next year if he were still on the team. However that's not the case so no point in having a debate about it considering he's as likely to play for UK next year as I am.

Someone mentioned how we might be thin on the front line next year, and how its kind of bad that Josh H. might actually have to play. So I thought it was pretty fair to bring that back up, in this case.

But, I also have to take into account that Cal knows what's best for the team so I see both sides. :thumb:
