March 2, 201016 yr Saw this on KSR, and it made me think. Thought I would relay it over here. Between Chuck Hayes, Tayshaun Prince, and Patrick Patterson. The picture of Chuck Hayes crying on Senior day sticks in my mind, plus he was the defintion of hard nose, toughness, and hustle. What say you?
March 2, 201016 yr I couldn't argue with any of those individuals at all. They were three great UK Wildcats.
March 2, 201016 yr I would have to vote Hayes for now. If Pat wins a title, that would change things.
March 2, 201016 yr I have to say Tayshaun Prince based on career numbers, clutch shots, and career following college including Olympic gold.
March 2, 201016 yr I have to say Tayshaun Prince based on career numbers, clutch shots, and career following college including Olympic gold. The more I was thinking about it, I would have to say that Tayshaun Prince has definitely been the best representative because of what he has done after his Wildcat career. Winning a NBA title, as well as a gold medal, sets him apart IMO. If you are simplying talking about their collegiate career, then its a really tough choice.
March 2, 201016 yr It also depends upon how you define "represent". If you mean it as who has gone on to have a good career, it is easily Prince with Rondo just behind him. Hayes was a fan favorite. How about Bogans? When I think of "represent", I just think of people who kept their nose clean, played hard, and dedicated their time to the University. That list is a large one filled with many names which people do not like to hear because maybe the were just average guys on a roster (Woo, Stockton, Carrier, Thomas, Perry, etc.).
March 2, 201016 yr ^^^ That was insane. But my vote is for Chuck Hayes just because of the type of player that he was.
March 2, 201016 yr Give me all 3!!!! They all have different qualities, but I don't know if I could pick between the 3 of them. So I will take all three!!!
March 2, 201016 yr Author In the context of the question from KSR, I think they meant as far as what he did on the court in college, and off the court, and just how good of an all around guy.
March 2, 201016 yr Wow I was looking at that starting lineup. We had PG- Blevins SG- Fitch SF- Bogans PF- Prince C- Estill Then you had guys coming off the bench who were good. That team should have been so much better than what they were. The one thing that held this team back was the pg play IMO.
