Bengals Draft Needs

Featured Replies

Haynesworth was a bust for Washington.

Ya but he still was a huge name that anyone would have wanted on their team last season. I would have loved for the Bengals to get him.

You would have loved to overpay a guy and him be a bust? I'm glad you aren't running the show.

Need to get a playmaker at WR to help out Chad. Part of the reason why Carson has looked bad is because our receivers just dont get open. None of them hardly ever get any seperation besides maybe Ocho. TE is another huge hole in the offense. I like how we are running the ball but you cant just run run run and think that is going to win games for you. You have to be somewhat balanced.

I am very excited about the running game going into next season though.

I meant during the offseason last year. Everyone wanted him this time last year and you're lying to yourself if you don't think so.

I'm glad we didn't get him though. Using him as an example that we should go spend more money is working against your argument.

Define everyone.

I sure didn't want Haynseworth, especially for the type of $$ he was looking for.

After next year I would trade Carson for like a Herschel Walker deal or as many draft picks as you can get & also draft Jake Lockler to be their QB.I`m sure the Raiders would probably be a good trading partner.

Unfortuantley, if you're wanting to trade Palmer after next season, it would likely because he's had yet another average-to-below-average year and there won't be anyone out there that will offer up a "Hershel Walker" type deal.

How do we know that Carson isn't a leader?

You're right. Palmer would command very little in a trade.

Well the Bengals lost, so Carson's to blame.

I share the DE concerns a lot more than DT. Fanene was the best DE on the team this year (after Odom went down). Geathers had a contract year and that was about it. Looking at Johnson he almost looks more like an OLB. If he adds weight he could be effective though.

Roll your eyes all you want but Carson missed a ton of throws yesterday, like it or not. This is what I'm saying when Bengals fans are overrating Palmer. There are so many more talented quarterbacks in the NFL but not many fans realize it.
