March 11, 201115 yr Early SNL. Belushi, Chase, Murray, Aykroyd and company; along with repeat hosts like Buck Henry and Steve Martin. Coneheads, Killer Bees, Wild and Crazy Guys, Weekend Update, Samurai_______. Johnny Carson. The undisputed king of late-night. Always willing to play second fiddle to the guests. Given the BGP demographic, surprised nobody has mentioned Johnny Fever/WKRP. And Les Nessman (Richard Sanders). "The Great Turkey Drop" rates right up there with "Reverend Jim Gets His License" as one of the great moments in television comedy."I didn't know turkeys couldn't fly!" "Oh, the humanity!"
March 11, 201115 yr Given the BGP demographic, surprised nobody has mentioned Johnny Fever/WKRP. Sometimes the show itself and the writing are funnier than the actors.

March 11, 201115 yr Maybe I missed it. Did anyone say Eddie Murphy or Jim Carey? I always liked Sinbad too. In his time The Diceman was pretty good too.
March 11, 201115 yr Abso-frigging-lutely! I heard Billy Bob Thornton once say that Barney Fife was the single greatest character in television history. I concur.
March 11, 201115 yr Kevin Hart deserves a mention. Probably the funniest comedian currently out and performing.
March 14, 201115 yr Great lists. And sadly at this point, I'm not sure I've laughed much harder than at Charlie Sheen. Not as his character, nor in a standup routine, but the winning interview cracks me up. Hard to top that one. I still, in my adolescent nature, quote Eddie Murphy RAW. "Yeah, that's my bag. Can't a black man have a suitcase?" "You dropped your ice cream, you dropped your ice cream"
March 15, 201115 yr I saw Dana Carvey the other night on Jimmy Falon, I remeber him doing The Church Lady Skit on SNL, that was funny stuff. "Well isn't that Special. What I forget to mention this before, "How Convienant. Who or what is responsible? Oh I'm thinkin who could it be, could it be? Oh it's on the tip of my tongue,,mmmm could it be... SATAN!!!LOL
