January 1, 201016 yr Hard to go wrong with Woodford's. For a man's bourbon, however, save up your pennies and try a bottle of Booker's. WONDERFUL bottle of bourbon! As is Basil Hayden!
December 5, 201114 yr Today marks the 78th anniversary of the ratification of the Twenty-First Amendment To The United States Constitution, which repealed the Eighteenth Amendment, and ended the US Prohibition. Anyone plan to imbibe in something special tonight to enjoy your Constitutional rights?
December 5, 201114 yr I spent the last couple of weeks in the UK, and as great as cask ales and the like are over there, I sure missed my bourbon. I only made my way into ONE pub that even sold bourbon. It was Jim Beam, on the top shelf - £7.90 per 25 mL shot. (That's a little more than half the size of a normal US 1.5 oz shot, and at a cost of about $12.40 American ) Anyway, I think I'm gonna crack a bottle of Blanton's I've had sitting unopened for over a year and have a drink tonight while I spin some blues records on the turntable.
December 5, 201114 yr Shots of LOVE 1 part Crown Royal 1 part peach schnapps 2 part Crabberry juice Good Stuff. Thanks to Slemac for introducing me to it.

I shall exercise my 1st and 21st amendment right by declaring my intent to consume a few beers tonight during MNF at the local pub and then acting on my declaration at the appropriate time.
December 5, 201114 yr Shots of LOVE 1 part Crown Royal 1 part peach schnapps 2 part Crabberry juice Good Stuff. Thanks to Slemac for introducing me to it. Sub the Cranberry juice for Red Bull, make it a Royal Bomb. Thank me later.
December 5, 201114 yr In the 2 years since I last posted in this thread, I've had some pretty rough nights. I pretty much stick to a nice Long Island Iced Tea these days. Some things make me gag just thinking about anymore... The Jager/Red Bull combo included. Beer + Whiskey + Rum in no particular order all through the night is never a good idea. These are the things you must learn for yourself.
December 5, 201114 yr I really like blue moon and Samuel Adams. Bud light, busch and natty are what I normally drink though. Other than beer, Irish car bombs rock my socks. Only thing is you get super full after one. As far as liquids go I really like bourbon and spiced rum. I won't touch vodka, too many subpar experiences.
December 5, 201114 yr Oh yeah, Girly shots rock too. Oatmeal cookie shots are really good. Same with Washington apples. Nky shooter at stadium grill in Louisville is a pretty tasty shot as well.

December 5, 201114 yr Hard to go wrong with Woodford's. For a man's bourbon, however, save up your pennies and try a bottle of Booker's. If you like Woodford just save some $$$ and buy Old Forrester. It's the same-exact thing! People at Woodford don't like to admit this, but it is.
December 5, 201114 yr I have had many rough mornings since the start of this thread. I think I go harder now than two years ago when this thread was started haha! Love the John Wall shot and Big Cuz that you can get down in Lexington. I've become a huge fan of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. Jager bombs and Cherry bombs at Brothers on the weekend, done a lot of those bad boys. I will typically do just about anything that get put in front of me. Take it down, ask questions later. December 5, 201114 yr Makers Mark and ginger ale - tall - with a lime. I could drink those all night long! The only beer I like is Bud Light.
