I don't drink very often. Usually beer. Been getting into New Belgium 1554 Dark Lager lately . Only one place in the area had it on tap and now it's gone. Bottle is still solid.

Recent beer of choice: All summer I was rolling on Founders' All-Day IPA. Unreal session IPA that for the price made it my go-to all summer long. Now it's nearly stout time once I can get all these pumpkins out of the beers. I love stout and porter time. They're my favorite.

 

Favorite mixed drink: an Old Fashioned when I have the wherewithal to keep the necessary ingredients handy. Also, when out for a real classy drink at a place like St. Charles Exchange in Louisville, it makes for a nice cap on date night.

 

Still like a good bourbon and water or vodka tonic when at home.

Haven't tried the 1554 yet but it's on my list. Can't go wrong with most of New Belgium's brews.

This does make me wish I had a wet bar in my office. No doubt productivity would rise.

I get to have one of my favorite drinks Friday.....a draft beer from Keeneland. There's just something about them that are amazing.

I thought Chivas had a smokey flavor. It was fairly smooth, just didn't care for the overall flavor.

 

They all have a certain amount of smoke to them. The blended ones are just pretty uneventful.

During the Fall and Winter I favor heavy beers, red wine and bourbon. Spring and Summer time I'm mostly a pale ale, IPA drinker.

Any scotch drinkers around? I've had very little of it' date=' and even less that was of any decent quality. Just had two fairly expensive bottles gifted to me within the course of a week. Looking for some pointers on enjoying them correctly :lol2:[/quote']

 

I drink a fair amount of Scotch. I always drink it on the rocks, unless I'm with my father in law, who only allows me one ice cube.

This is the second summer in a row I've spent with All Day IPA. I have to say that our relationship is only getting stronger, especially with the addition of 15-packs of cans. I'm almost ashamed to admit how many times her and I have lived up to it's name.
