That is why the visitor's stands are what they are. X could not move further back due to the cemetary there and the track was placed where the old existing track was located which prohibited anything more. What does not not show in this picture is that now the new basketball arena is completed and it is attached to the back of the home side stands. All part of a master plan that has been in the working for several years. Remember, St. X did not ever have their own football field until three years ago when this was completed. They had to play at very old Manual stadium and share it with Manual and others who used it.

What position on defense does Miles play?

Miles plays one of the safety positions, with Sage Powell playing the other safety spot...Probably the fastest safety combo in the state...

In order to get the plans approved through Jefferson County Planning, we also had to provide one parking space for every four people in stadium capacity. This restricted us from an engineering standpoint in both stadium capacity and facility location on the available property. It was like fitting together a jig-saw puzzle, but all the required parking spaces are there.

 

P.S.: I couldn't get you new big picture to open. All it is is a box with a red x.

Powell now plays corner at least for the past six weeks. #4 Pinkelton plays safety, Miles comes in on 3rd down and long situations and #4 goes out.

X was very impressive and it will be a tall order for SK to hang around into the second half. I will be rooting for SK. I consider SK to be a very good h.s. football team, but X to be a great team at this point in the season. Sadly, I look for a final score something like 45-14 in favor of X. Lots of respect for both teams and X is a great host for games. Classy!!!

The standing area is somewhat back from the field as there is an 8 lane track, suitable to hold large track meets. Note that the scoreboard features the times for each lane.

I applaud the teams that are left in the playoffs. It’s been a long road, and the teams that are left should feel proud. I think as parents we try to help our children the best that we can. I posted links to pictures of St. X. I hope that it does not come across as “touting” the school or with any arrogance. The school’s campus has changed so much over the years. Personally, I am grateful that my son has had the opportunity to attend St. X. It’s been a blessing in his life and he came close not being able to go.

As much as I like this years S.K. team, they just play too many players both ways. I think they will keep it close for a while. But in the end, X wins big. I hope I'm wrong.

I think very highly of your fine institution as I work with several St X grads... whom I have a great deal of respect. However, I will be pulling for SK in this one as I would like to see the Northern Kentucky teams prevail.
