Maybe Simon Kenton was looking ahead to next week with X and that is why tonights performance was less then spectacular.

 

Wouldn't be the first time a team has been caught looking ahead. Fortunatly for Simon K, they at least can still pulled out the win tonight.:thumb:

 

Actually manual was a much better team than there record showed. Had manual won it wouldn't have surprised anyone.

That is the home side of the stadium. It is better than a small college. The visiting side is another story. I think it is only 4 or 5 rows, though it runs the length of the field. With the track in front of you it is kind of tough to see from the visiting side. Get there early SK and sit away from the student section on the home side. As for the game, X by 3 TDs or more. They are rolling big time. If the 6A bracket were played out 100 time from this point forward, T and X would meet in the finals at least 90 times.

I don't sit so as long as I can get a good standing view I will be a happy camper. I'm assuming there is a fence around the field, how far is it from the field?

Can't tell from the picture, but is it similar in size to T's stadium? I remember going down there for an SK game a couple years ago and was impressed with the size. Not much like it in NKY.

As far as the game goes, I'm not stupid or naive enough to disrespect St. X, and I KNOW that this will be an uphill battle. With that being said, if we lose it will shock noone, and I would have been more upset if we never got the chance to face the best. HC and Manual were the fastest teams we've faced and while Henry Clay was the much better offensive team, Manual was far superior on defense. Now we will face a team that's better on both sides of the ball, and we have our work cut out for us.

Trinity's stadium has a total "seating capacity" of 4,500, holding 3,000 on the home side and 1,500 on the visitors' side.

 

Saint Xavier's stadium has a total "seating capacity" of 6,100, holding 5,100 on the home side (see paNDA's picture above) and 1,000 on the visitors' side.

 

There is a lot of standing room all around the field behind the fences at both stadiums.

I like the standing room, I don't sit too often unless the stadium leaves me no option.

It should be an interesting game on Friday night... I have no doubt there will be quite a bit of game discussion on BGP following the game. Good luck to both teams.

Showing up and playing earns respect. Whether a team can win the football game has nothing to do with respect it has to do with ability.

 

 

You do not have to beat a team for that team to respect you!! If that is your view then that also shows a lack of class.

 

That just makes no sense! Every team we play has worked hard and sweat and bled just like we have win or lose. It's called respect for the game and those who are lucky enough to play it. A lot of you only count respect in wins and loses. If you are that narrow minded so be it.
