Maybe...but we got'em last season.....listen the team, coach's and fans RESPECT these young men, maybe I worded it poorly, but to consider them a legit threat, I would say they have to earn it first. DH did it in '04.....SK needs to show they can be a threat, and until they show they can, I won't believe they can. Again, sorry for poor word usage.

Back to the game. I have a question for the people from the Ville. How good is Manual??? The game I watched last night, if not for some (almost all) dropped passes Manual should have won. IMO. So I'm thinking if Manual is not a good team how will S.K. be able to hang with X?? I hope this question dosn't upset S.K. fans, just being real.

 

I can only go by the game we played and we shut them out.....but that's no real indication of them as a team....I think they are a top five, 6A team.

RockPride you a little worried that the mighty Rocks could lose in the finals to someone other than one of the "mighty" Louisville schools? Must be why else would you be on a St.X thread?? The Pioneers will show up and give 110% and if that is not good enough so be it. Unlike you we respect every team we play.

 

I respect SK, I apologize for that. Now in regards to them playing X, I think I have a vested interest, and no I am not concerned about SK, mainly because I think their season ends on Friday.

I give respect to teams that have earned it or have a reputation deserving. If you think it makes me look bad then go right ahead. You have known me long enough BF to know that people's opinions of me have never made a bit of a difference to me.

I don't believe it's right (or wise) to disrespect any team. And knowing you, is why I was surprised at your coments.

It looks as if X and T have turned it up a notch the last couple of weeks. I believe X is too strong and fast for SK, and will hold Simpson in check.

HHS has that and Dixie Heights earned my respect years ago. SK has never scored on the Rocks and no big school from NKY has done anything to prove to me that they deserve the nod with the big boys(no matter the class).

It's not a lack of it....it's simply stating that the respect has to be earned. You do understand that almost every year we have to deal with this talk of "this is our year", "we are more diverse this year", "we have the hunger"...etc....and almost every single time they turn out in lopsided victories, so until someone changes that, you have to earn the respect.

If it is anything like the Ryle/St. X thread last week, you will be pleasantly surprised how much class the St. X posters show. The only time something negative was said, it came from someone outside of those two schools. Other than the L that was handed to us last night, traveling to Louisville was nothing but a very nice experience. Hope SK has the same experience as we had, minus the L.

 

As far as the game goes... If St. X plays the near flawless game that they played last night, it could be a long night for SK. They are very good at forcing mistakes and then capitalizing on those mistakes.

 

And regarding the team speed argument... Ryle has seen HHS, SK and now St. X. IMO, St. X is head and shoulders above the other two with speed and execution.

 

Good Luck to both teams! I hope both teams bring their "A game" so that there is no doubt who the better team is after the game.

What do you think will happen lad? I personally feel X throttles SK, maybe 3 td's, really if they play their best or not. Their team speed is like nothing the

'Neers have seen this season. They are best at stopping the run. Miles may get his, but it won't be nearly enough by himself. I believe the road ends next Friday!!!!
