I have suffered through the Super Bowl losses and the NFC championship loss against the Falcons and the "dirty bird" when they were, without question, the best team in the leaque. The Vikings have always been "my team" for the last 35 years and I can tell you now, dont get to pumped up on them yet...they can really break your heart. Fran the Man, the purple people eaters, "Wrong Way" Jim Marshall, all the great receivers, and on and on....they have had so many weapons over the years, especially during the Bud Grant years, to have never won the big one. However, I'll still be with them when this year is in the books!!

Again, I am not being a bandwagoner (that's a word for now), I'm just being a fan of good football and some people can't stand for another team to do well and I find it extremely funny.

 

Like today, I went to the Bengals game but they didn't play the Cowboys so I guess I'm not a Dallas fan...Wrong. I'm a fan of football in general and I got a chance to go to an NFL game so I went.

I like the Vikings now. I always liked most of their players, but always hated them as a team for some reason, until AP got their. He is a beast, and everyone else is giving Favre such a hard time, I'm kind of back on his side now. Isn't that funny the way the media does that to a man?

I always loved watching Bud Grant. Guys like him and Eller and Page made it look like playing at the Met would actually be fun in December.

I am a die hard Pats fan. I enjoy watching Brett Farve no matter where he is because of his passion for the game. I have AP on my fantasy team and enjoy watching him throw people out of his way, so yea I enjy watching the Vikings dominate, unless they are playing the Pats.

Since the Indian or Injun Joe Kapp days. I have drifted to the Bengals over the years but still have a soft spot.

The Vikings have been my favorite team in all of sports ever since I saw Randy Moss play during his rookie season. Even though I have always hated Green Bay I have always respected Favre for his toughness and knew we would be a force this year when we got him.

I loved them with Moss and Carter. I like this team well, but I'm for the Saints next week. But, I always cheer for the NFC over the AFC in the SuperBowl so I'll be a huge Percy Harvin and AP fan if they make it to the big game.

The Vikings making it to the Super Bowl would be the only thing that would make me ever cheer for the AFC.

I do not believe in being a "fan" of two teams. I am a fan of one team, and that is how it will always be. I will root for a couple of other teams, but only because I have family that are fans of those teams. And I do not root for them if it has a negative effect on the Giants.

 

I'm not saying you can not do it, it is your choice. I also do not believe in becoming a fan of a team because I think they will be good. And like I said before, if you choose to do that, that is OK. It is your choice, it is just one I would not make for myself.

I'm a Cowboys fan first an foremost, but I root for several teams in the NFL, College and High School. But I get the "one team only" approach.

 

 

Oh, and I like the Vikings, but I like the Saints as well. I also like the Jets and the Colts, so this is going to be a fun Super Bowl for me.

I've stuck up for Favre for the last 3 years. After today I will never hope he does well again. I'd never hope for an injury, but I hope he doesn't finish next week. That last TD pass was bush league.
