I've stuck up for Favre for the last 3 years. After today I will never hope he does well again. I'd never hope for an injury, but I hope he doesn't finish next week. That last TD pass was bush league.

Big Favre fan, and despite not caring for all the retirement drama, I'd love to see him get one more chance in the big show!! Love watching Harvin as well.

My son has been a HUGE Vikings fan for years. He was in hog heaven today. Watched the game with him and since I have always disliked the Cowboys, I enjoyed it as well. Favre makes being over 40 seem not so bad. He has been unbelievable this season. Don't know if they can beat the Saints, ... but I wasn't sure they could beat the Cowboys as good as Dallas had been playing.

 

I do think the last TD was unnecessary. The game was over. I guess the OC got a little carried away IMHO. I understand not kicking the FG and taking the chance on it getting blocked and giving the Cowboys any momentum, ... but I think that it was unnecessary.

I realize you are most likely referring to me, but you couldn't be more wrong as to why I took my hiatus from NFL threads.

 

I quit posting on NFL threads when the Giants were 5-0.

I'm a Cowboys fan first an foremost, but I root for several teams in the NFL, College and High School. But I get the "one team only" approach.

 

 

Oh, and I like the Vikings, but I like the Saints as well. I also like the Jets and the Colts, so this is going to be a fun Super Bowl for me.

I'm a Giants fan and a Giants fan only. When the Giants are eliminated, I will root for other teams (Packers, Colts) for different reasons, but I am in no way a fan of those teams. I do not own their gear and I do not root for them unless it in no way affects the Giants.

 

I pull for the Packers when the Giants are eliminated because I have a cousin who is a die hard Packers fan. He does the same for me (roots for the G-Men) when the Packers are out.

 

I will root for the Colts, mainly because they are a team that I do not have any hate for :lol:. Out of the teams remaining, they are the only team I do not dislike. I like Peyton Manning, so if the Giants and Packers are eliminated, Manning and the Colts are the next team I pull for.

 

So I can understand the "rooting for other teams" thing. But to be a "fan" of two teams, I do not understand.

I don't blame Favre at all for that last TD and I like the Cowboys. It's the NFL and you are playing to go to the Championship game. Not your job as a QB to take it easy on the opposing defense!

I'm a fan of the NFL. I don't really have a team, per se. There are teams I like and teams I don't like, and it actually varies from year to year pending on their coach and personnel. Out of the 4 teams left, I like all except the Colts. I'm not the biggest Manning fan in the world.

Did you miss the big fight a month ago when the head coach went nuts b/c Favre has the freedom to call the plays and he kept changing plays for AP to throws instead?

 

Favre should have never been in the game and they should have kicked a FG. I wish they would have taken a cheap shot at him after the play.

I don't mind the running up the score. These arent high school kids with self esteem issues, they are grown men who get paid very well and should have been more prepared. You don't go out and dominate and trash talk your opponent for 3+ quarters and then let up on them so the score doesnt look that bad.

Rather hear about Favre than Manning who can do no wrong.

I dont really like many teams outside the bengals but the Vikings are one of them. I've taken a liking to them since they drafted Moss. Really liked that 98 team. Not a Farve fan tho.
