I mean I'm not a huge life long fan but I think I'll be a fan of them this year. It's obvioulsy early in the season but I could see them going pretty far in the post-season.

But anyways, I like to see AP do well, but I will certainly not be cheering for the Vikings as long as Farve is their QB. I have grown to have a very bad taste in my mouth for him.

I do not believe in being a "fan" of two teams. I am a fan of one team, and that is how it will always be. I will root for a couple of other teams, but only because I have family that are fans of those teams. And I do not root for them if it has a negative effect on the Giants.

 

I'm not saying you can not do it, it is your choice. I also do not believe in becoming a fan of a team because I think they will be good. And like I said before, if you choose to do that, that is OK. It is your choice, it is just one I would not make for myself.

Like today, I went to the Bengals game but they didn't play the Cowboys so I guess I'm not a Dallas fan...Wrong. I'm a fan of football in general and I got a chance to go to an NFL game so I went.

So back to the topic...Any true-purple Vikings fans or any fans of the team they have now????

A lifelong Vikings fan right here, just as my father and grandfather before me. Three generations of fans, zero Super Bowl wins...

 

I don't have a great deal of faith in how far they'll go, but I will admit I've allowed myself to look a little more optimistically at the start of the season than I have as of late. Mostly I just assume that the Vikings will, as usual, have an excellent regular season and make the playoffs before bowing out in spectacularly embarrassing fashion.

One of my best friends is a lifelong fan...as for me, i'm a fan of anyone that runs the ball like Peterson (not the Vikes though). That 2nd stiff arm was riDUNKulous! I swear I could see Jaws saying "play on playa!".

My son has been a Vikings fan for years. He is loving the possibilities right now. Peterson is a beast. I am not a fan, but they could be a lot of fun to watch as they progress thru the season.

On the good side of things, now is the time to be jumping on the bandwagon. They're already one of the best teams in the league, and with Favre on board now, they stand to be on TV just about every single week in this area.

No, but I am a fan of Adrian Peterson. That dude is awesome!

Never been a Vikings fan (liked John Randell) but I am a really big fan of Peterson and Favre (glad he is playing now and not having to deal with the media junk). I like Percy Harvin too.

I really don't know how anybody doesn't enjoy watching All Day play...unless it's against your team or you are a Texas fan. The run he had yesterday looked like a youth league game. Stopping...smacking people off of you etc. He is amazing!

I would be happy if Minn won it all this year so Favre could tell the media where too go and because of all the adversity AP has dealt with his whole life. He's been through a lot with his dad, injuries etc.
