January 20, 201016 yr Author Did you miss the big fight a month ago when the head coach went nuts b/c Favre has the freedom to call the plays and he kept changing plays for AP to throws instead? Favre should have never been in the game and they should have kicked a FG. I wish they would have taken a cheap shot at him after the play. :cry:
January 20, 201016 yr I'm a Packers fan. As for being a fan of the Vikings? I'm a Brett Favre fan in that respect after all that he is done for Green Bay and the level of play that he has brought them to today, nothing more and nothing less..

If that were the case then we would hate all professional athletes because they are better than us too right? :lol:

I also have no problem saying that I respect his abilities, as Lord knows I couldn't take a hit from a little league linebacker -- Especially while completing a 70 yard touchdown pass. :lol: I just can't bring myself to cheer for him. Both Favre and Clemens began to rub me the wrong way around the same time with their respective annual "retirements" and the "Will he/Won't he?" coverage. You can make an argument that this is more of the media than the player, but the player has all the control of this, and Brett never did anything but fuel the speculation. I know that if Brett wins the Super Bowl, he will retire and ride off into the sunset to give ESPN and NFL Network their dream story and #1 for every potential countdown of the next 10 years. But it should be taken as a compliment that I respect his ability to win so much, I'm so worried about that happening that I'd actually cheer for the Colts to take him down -- Something I'd never otherwise do. I just don't want him forcefed down my throat any longer than he has to be, and going out a loser would make that a more pleasant experience for me, as I don't think it would last as long.

Its great to see someone who loves the game like him, and being successful. Every time I see him now I think of how whiney and indecisive he was when he was a Packer/Jet. If he didn't get what he wanted, he would just retire. I became very sick of him. And a lot of players love the game they play. More people should absolutely love Hines Ward if your theory is correct. That guy is constantly smiling on the field.

January 20, 201016 yr Do you really want to go through 2 weeks of hearing about how great Favre is for taking the Vikings to the super bowl? I don't. I'm rooting for Colts/Saints and a Colts win. If I get tired of it, I'll just change the channel. It won't be much more coverage if a Peyton Manning wins it or how far the Saints have come since Katrina. Farve is an emotional man, there is nothing wrong with him taking time to make decisions, it is the medias fault as much as it is Farve's. I believe he has warranted the opportunity to take all the time he needs and approve/diapprove of any decsions that would involve him.
