March 6, 200917 yr Which western for you? There's a poll option for "other" in the event that you're a Bat Masterson fan, for example. Thanks to 75 for the suggestion.
March 7, 200917 yr Dude, Bluto is right, you are on a roll! Gunsmoke for me, but I like both a lot. That was such an obvious choice for you RTS .
March 7, 200917 yr I can remember when I was just a very young boy that when Gunsmoke came on, my Papaw made sure everyone was sitting down and silent. That was about the only TV that he watched!!
March 7, 200917 yr I can remember when I was just a very young boy that when Gunsmoke came on, my Papaw made sure everyone was sitting down and silent. That was about the only TV that he watched!! Same here, I believe it was on Mondays when I remember having to be quiet for the hour. Still, Bonanza is my all time favorite, particularly the early ones.
March 7, 200917 yr I voted "other" only because I honestly could not choose between these two, both imo were great!
March 7, 200917 yr I suppose I will vote for Bonanza in a close decision. I loved both those shows back in the day, but when I occasionally watch the re-runs I notice that most of the episodes were made on a sound stage. I didn't think about that when I was a youngster watching them. BTW, I wonder if anyone knows how many times Marshal Dillon was shot in the arm or leg in his TV career? It was usually a only flesh wound. The bad guys were too nervous to get a good bead on him.
March 8, 200917 yr This is one of the toughest choices for me. I really liked both. But gave the nod to Bonanza.
