I suppose I will vote for Bonanza in a close decision.

 

I loved both those shows back in the day, but when I occasionally watch the re-runs I notice that most of the episodes were made on a sound stage. I didn't think about that when I was a youngster watching them.

 

BTW, I wonder if anyone knows how many times Marshal Dillon was shot in the arm or leg in his TV career? It was usually a only flesh wound. The bad guys were too nervous to get a good bead on him.:D

 

 

And he was a big guy, too.
