Skyline for me. I've never had Dixie though. Is there a Dixie in KY or only in Natti?

There sure is. It's located on Dixie highway is Erlanger. Right next the Saint Henry Parish.

Pretty good if you ask me :dancingpa.

Our daughter's friend and her husband miss Cincinnati chili. He is in the Marine's and she stayed at our house while he was in training at Ft Campbell. They loved it and still talk about it. They are now stationed in CA. Neither are from KY.

 Or mine, I can fix an excellent pot of Chili.......REAL chii. :D

Jusst take my word for it! My Chili is the best around! I know it is cause my kids tell me it is!

So There!

Had a chili dog at a football game in WV. They put cole slaw on it. I told the lady about putting cheese on one. She didn't think that sounded appetizing.

Monmouth St. in Newport, around 2AM. The only way to eat Dixie!

I have had hot dogs with slaw and with cheese but never that combo together, doesn't sound too good to me.

Dixie is by far the best.

I have never had a hard bun there. I have never had bun blowout there, and I have never been able to swim in my 3-way there. Their chili is not runny and their hot dogs are never burnt. They have exceptional taste and are always consistent. It is even good when you buy the cans and make it at home.

Skyline is good sometimes, but never better than Dixie.

Gold Star is my third choice, but only if I have to go there.

There is a chili dog place in downtown Lexington that does that. It is really good.

Is Crystal Chili Parlor still around?

I don't think so. It was better to be in there after 3AM:banana:

This cracked me up. The true test of a local -- you understand the experience of "bun blowout". :thumb:

I bring this back up, (Is that a good choice of words?) because, thanks to theguru, we tested Gold Star and Skyline side by side last night at the Rat Hacienda on Lake Rose. We being Mrs. S, my father, and myself.

Gold Star won 3-0

I have to wait for Birdsfan and the Dixie chili, so I won't make the deadline to vote tonight. I'm holding my opinion until I get my taste buds tingled by Dixie. (I don't think that sounded right, either)
