January 1, 201511 yr 2 places I really like are Grimaldi's and Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. Grimaldi's are mostly in the south and out west, with one restaurant in New York City, and Anthony's are located in the northeast and Florida. If you like hot/spicy, a pizza at Anthony's with Italian Sausage and Long Hot Finger Peppers, will light you up.
January 1, 201511 yr Just had Jet's 8 corner pizza the other night. That is the best chain pizza going right now. For some reason, it reminds me of Pizza Hut's pan pizza when I was growing up. Nowadays, I wouldn't feed Pizza Hut to my dog. As far as non-chain pizza places go, Papa Rocco's in Gulf Shores, AL was really good. I love Jet's 8 corner with garlic butter crust. A bit on the pricey side.
January 3, 201511 yr Leonos in Cynthiana I'm new to this area. Is Leonos dine in or delivery or carry out or all the above? All of the above.

Couple next to me was from KY. We all enjoyed the pizza.
January 3, 201511 yr Has anyone tried Rusconi's ? Downtown Cincy. Yup. Solid pie. Not going to blow you away, but I've enjoyed it the couple times I've been there...
February 26, 201511 yr Had Papa Dinos in Florence for the first time yesterday. Outstanding pizza. Interesting. I've heard people rave about their hoagies, but never really ever hard ringing endorsements of their pizza. Maybe I'm talking to the wrong people. Any second opinions?

March 17, 201511 yr Was in Louisville on Saturday, and thought we'd stop at Blaze Pizza there by Mall St. Mathews. It was about 2:30, so we didn't think it'd be a problem. Finally pulled in the parking lot, and there were about two dozen people standing in line out on the sidewalk! Not knowing how long it may take to get through the line, and what type of seating might be available, we went and got a burger instead. When we left, there were still 12-15 people standing outside (not the same ones as before, of course, but still). Just seemed odd that there'd be that many people there at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
March 17, 201511 yr Had a place down in Louisiana this past weekend called Embers. Really, really good thin crust pizza.
March 17, 201511 yr I like Buddy's pizza in Frankfort. Locally owned joint, good, NY style pie. Have to eat it hot there though...not the kind of pizza that travels well or is good the next day warmed over in the microwave. Just tried Buddy's last week...pretty good pizza. My wife loved it!
March 17, 201511 yr Just tried Buddy's last week...pretty good pizza. My wife loved it! I was wondering about them. We walk by there all the time but haven't stopped in.

March 17, 201511 yr Should have let me know, I'd have come down and joined ya'll. Spur of the moment thing, we were on the way home from State Archery Meet and my wife found reviews on-line so we stopped in to try it.
