I am a clock maker and avid milk drinker. I find it most offensive that you put the years in the format of a clock. NOT ALL CLOCKS ARE TRINITY CLOCKS! Also it is most presumptive to use the got milk slogan. Do you really think the cows out in the state care about THS? AND... the football seems to be blasting through northern Kentucky.. is that some sneaky comment on northern teams?

They have blasted through Northern Kentucky quite a few state title games in a row.

All this arguing over 18 and 19 state championships....... I would love for Boone to have just one :)

Good lordy. You guys just won't leave this alone. Every one that I know realizes that T won't duck anyone. But for some reason some T people won't give Highlands the same respect and they think that Highlands is ducking them. In light of the fact that we've played some very good schools over the years (St. X, Elder, Colerain, etc), can one logically think we are ducking T? Just think about that for a minute and let it register. I know for a fact that Highlands and Trinity had serious discussions about playing next year. Unfortunately due to the lack of common open dates, it could not be done. Dale loves to play the best teams he can and he knows he will should have an extremely good team next year. I think if there was any practical way possible that we could meet next year, Dale would have done so. Enjoy 19. We are enjoying 18 and will again be shooting to tie it up next year, although I'm not one of those Highlands fans that are focused on having more state titles than Trinity. We are quite proud of what we have and are accomplishing, particularly in light of our size. I'm not sure that many T people respect our accomplishments, but I think a lot of other people in the Commonwealth do.

Look folks, let me put this disclaimer in before we go any longer. We will keep this discussion civil or this thread will also be closed and some of you who are and have been walking a fine line will be on the outside looking in. This will be the only warning. Take any personal comments to the PM's.

It's very nice. I don't see why anyone would be offended, it's 19 years of a proud high school football organization.....it's something to respect.

Later.

Agree wholeheartedly.:thumb:

I know (because I was there) that we took on the Birds and lost. My recollection is that we made a game of it - at their place. No doubt about it they had the better team that night. That is the only loss I know of (Since the Beatty era). Please enlighten me if I am in error.

I could also be wrong about this - but was not that game during the Coach's Inaugural season ?

Now that he has had the time and opportunity to get his feet under him why don't we try it again. T will play anybody anytime. We are not afraid to loose - nor to play the best.

Don't hand me that "third of the size" malarkey. What is the size differential of H and those Cincy schools you tangle with?

"You play the best to be the best." Who is really ducking who?

You are correct. Having some fun. Seriously, I would love to see the game happen and it sounds as if there has been some effort behind the scenes. Most years it would be a fun game to watch, some years not. Either way, to answer your final question nobody is ducking anybody is my guess.

Reason to be proud!

Wear it out with your head held high!

1. Everyone I know at the Rock has the ultimate respect for the Birds.

2. NO question that you guys will "tee it up with anyone"- and have.

3. Sure there is a "healthy" competition between the two for the most titles (at least among the fans and supporters). Can't speak for the Coaches and players.)

4. Loved teh comment from the Gentleman from Boone - "heck we'd just like to have one." - touche.

5. I DID NOT BRING IT UP -- was merely responding to another poster - who raised it here in this thread about "Trinity Fans II"

OK ??:D:D

The team has won them and I have no problem with your fans having them displayed on your garments. Bama has won 12 NCs and I have several items with the years on them. Thats why they are called "Championships".

T folks... do you recall the picture Through The Years re: T football? Don't you think it's time for another edition? So much has happened since that last print was done. Do we need to talk to Scott S about that???

Trinity has more titles than Chuck Norris.

Where does all this barking pride come from when you are allowed to pick and choose your players? I am not a fan of Trinity or Highlands but I think Highlands accomplishments far outweigh that of Trinity. If Trinity was restricted to those kids who live in St. Matthews alone would they have 19 titles? I doubt it. Not a knock on the Rocks success. It is amazing. But this complete lack of sportsmanship, especially in the first post of the first thread, is rediculous and uncalled for. Like someone said, it's a slap in the face of the teams who won the other 5 championships.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the rings:thumb:
Ditto! :ylsuper:

I love this unofficial rivalry between T and HHS. Maybe we can catch up to you next year. :thumb:

It's been hanging in my game room for many years!!!!
