CoachNorman
Bowling Green high has 4 players first of second team Warren East has a player first team Greenwood has 2 hm players So I guess we all know who the Bowling Green papers voted for right?? None of those teams listed made it past the second round of the playoffs...hmmm... I guess its kinda like the cowboys sending 16 players to the pro bowl but get beat in the divisional game. NKU20
Congrats to all three of the Highlands players for being selected first team all state: Adam Dempsey, "Kody Bear" Rosenhagen, and Austin Collinsworth. Let's also not forget Tony Guidugli who was honorable mention. All three well deserved. On a side note, when was the last time a kid was selected all state their sophomore, junior, and senior year? Mr. Austin Collinsworth is almost a lock to be selected all state 1st team all three of his years playing varsity ball. Congratulations to Adam,Kody, and Austin. 3 great players and even better kids. Good luck Friday night.
NKU20
3 Highlands Hard to believe no player from NCC could even be honerable mention. Wonder if there's ever been a state champion with nobody on an all state team. I guess we'll see Saturday.
Docfootball
I think a player was left off 1st Team Off. there are only 12 players listed and all the other teams have 13. I am with you Cawood, Hunter Adams not even honorable mention is crazy.

Commander 25
Kicker Monte Merrick was All-State his sophomore and junior year as well. Congratulations to the Bell County players who made the team: Merrick, Matt Simpson; Billy Lawson; and Jacob King!...and those who were deserving.....but did not make the list. Bell is truly a "team" approach to football this year. I agree with you Tom Landry nice to see those players on there. Great Job by all of the players and good luck to those who will be playing Friday and Saturday. GO BELL COUNTY BOBCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoot Gibson
Chase Richardson regular season offensive stats: 1439 yards, 15 touchdowns, 12.1 yards/carry Not even an Honorable Mention? Unbelievable.
Option Right
Cannot believe that Ryan Wiliamas of GRC did not even make honorable mention.... Mid way throught the season he was the leading rusher in the state and then got hurt in the Henry Clay game. Here is some stats and info on Ryan: Williams named top player in district George Rogers Clark senior Ryan Williams was named player of the year as voted on by the coaches in the Kentucky Football Coaches Association. Williams will receive the award during the Class 6A state finals this weekend in Louisville. Williams finished the season with 2,003 yards rushing, shattering the school’s single-season mark set by former Clark standout Eric Clay. Clay collected 1,815 yards in 15 games during the Cards’ state championship run in 1991. “He had an outstanding year,” Clark coach Paul Columbia said. Williams is being recruited by Eastern and Western Kentucky and will likely pay a visit to Western in January I agree ... I mean, not even honorable mention! 3wishes
Harlan County and Rockcastle County shutout in the AP. I know I'm biased but c'mon not even one, there were some exceptional playmakers that contributed over 3 years on both of these teams. Congratulations to those on the list! MonsterMan
I've probably seen less football across the state this year than in any of the past 10 years. However, I keep up with players through reading and hearsay as much as anybody. But because I haven't "eye-witnessed" as much I feel a little funny asking this question. Am I the only one who thinks the AP all-state list gets worse and worse every year? I am right there with you! The AP just covers certain areas and alot of great kids do not get recognized. Kids in rural areas never get any recognition from the AP.
MonsterMan
Chase Richardson regular season offensive stats: 1439 yards, 15 touchdowns, 12.1 yards/carry Not even an Honorable Mention? Unbelievable. This is one of the worse things I have ever seen! Richardson played a tough 5A schedule and no one could stop him. The AP just does not cover mountain teams. Sounds like we are not the only ones on here that feel this way, just look where most of the kids are from.
