People like to criticize Beatty. But is it jealousy? How many teams would like to switch positions with him/Trinity? He makes his kids excel, perhaps beyond their capabilities (at least according to many).

I believe T took it to X this time. X made a valiant comeback but T prevailed. I can't imagine how anyone could say the breaks went one way or the other. To me, T won fair and square.........no excuses.

As a St X dad, it was a tough pill to swallow. But Trinity played a phenomenal game from the get go. Phillips run was such a back breaker, but he is a really fun back to watch. I was proud of our kids for fighting back against a great team. If we can't win it, we at least might as well keep the state title here in Louisville. Good luck Rocks next week.

CONGRATULATIONS to both TEams on an incredible game. The Tigers are a most worthy and valiant adversary. Congrats to them again on a great season. AS someone wrote yesterday -- no shame for either to loose to the other. AN INCREDIBLE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME. Last night conclusively demonstrated why there is US (T & X) and then everybody else !!!

 

THE ROCKS - Now there is another story. Words cannot due justice or describe. Starting with the Kids, the Coaches, the fAns. Way to come back to take this game -after being counted out by so many. YOU TRULY MAKE US PROUD. What an honor and a privilege to be part of such a program. Thank you.

Gotta give a shout out to Sean Carrico. Injured on the games first offensive play...it had to be a killer to be on the sideline. There was nobody cheering any louder though. Hope the injury is not bad.

I admire that Highlands plays up in class already and the quality of their football program, but I guess it's time for them not to waste their efforts anymore in 5A move to 6A?

I wonder now how the steamrolling X does to the other teams really helps them, other than the ratings? It does seem to come down to the X's and O's the last few years with T able to bring it together in the end.

 

X and T (and Highland) are flagship programs in the state. No other programs can match funding and across the board talent. I don't anticipate the playoff participants changing much in the coming years.

Congratulations to Trinity. It's hard to beat the same team twice in a season..

Hats off to the Rocks on another big time performance when they needed to shine. Jordan Whiting with 13 tackles and 2 sacks- at halftime. TP with the game clinching TD and first down. I thought the Tigers were going to tie it back up but they couldn't get it done. Good touch of sportsmanship displayed by Scott Radcliff consoling his grade school buddy from Ascension Sam Galbraith and JW coming over and talking to Deuce and DJ Hall. For the Rocks players and coaches, congrats on the victory and the class. Everybody on the Rock side should be proud of how the players represented themselves. For the Taco Bell Fan of the week group, remember that you are representing your school, too.

More of the same. Will T even want to win the regular season game going forward? I know it's always nice to beat a rival, but the formula of losing in the regular season seems to be working recently.

T ends X season again after losing by a considerable margin in the regular season. Could this be due to T keeping it very vanilla in the first meeting considering they know they'll see X again?

first, congrats to T. They controlled the game in the first half and I think that made the difference. X never recoverred.

 

X radio after the game reported Deuce was dehydrated and didn't return. Apparently with chills, etc. and had to be coverred up. May have hurt their comeback, but T deserved the win.
