Count me in the mix as well. I abstained. My Heart said Rocks my Head said X. I underestimated how TRULY GREAT we really are. Again, taking nothing at all away from the Tigers. Have seen them several times this year. REally and truly believed them to be unlike any previous Tiger Team. Too many weapons and too diversified. Thought they were the real deal. And, truly believe them still to be. GReat team and season.

 

Ran up again against a group of kids who did what they should not have been able to do. Tremendous effort and tremendous victory. An added chapter into an illustrious history. Regret did not have the foresight to see it coming for an unprecendeted 4th time.

What was the attendance at the game?

I think the paper said about 10,000. Probably about right.

19 is their QB, but I hope that the receiver is okay! He landed hard on his head.

I saw the catch, but I did not get the number of the player who made the catch. It was sweet!

What LSURock would be saying right now would be in about his 21st post on the subject. It would be insightful and likely inflammatory but also show his deep devotion to Trinity football. He would have absolutely been in Seventh Heaven Friday night.

Xtiger has called me out on this one and all I can do is plead guilty. I did not vote. My intention was to vote for St.X, if for no other reason the law of averages... don't I feel silly now.

A family function prevented me from attending the game so I spent most of the evening visiting relatives with my radio/earpiece in full operation. I had this exact conversation with my cousin (LSU's bro-in-law) which brought out a few chuckles and good memories.

Some thoughts:

By best friend (lifelong X man) doubted X ever since the victory in Oct. (in all fairness he is NOT a Glaser fan). I believe secretly other X fans did as well. In 2005 T had to play a perfect game to win (which they did)...in 2008 they did not play anywhere close to a perfect game (4 TOs to X's 2, more penalty yards, subpar game by the QB) and still won. This game was actually closer to being a 2 or 3 score T victory than is was to being an X win (though X did outplay T in the second half). X's #81 made the best catch of the game, but he did not shake hands after the game. The talent on both sides of the field was exactly even. The coaching/preparation was not. Duece and Timmy are different types of backs but you cannot convice me that one is better than the other. (And on that note I can't imagine the S-K back being better than them, but I guess we will see.) I really do feel bad for Duece, Brutcher, DJ Hall, and a host of other quality X players that played their hearts out. Beatty & Co. will have T ready for next Saturday, leaving no doubt that X is the true state runner-up (like Male in 2006). T's sceme is second to none, and the future looks pretty bright.

I must tell you it felt pretty good voting for the rocks and then going on to guarantee a win to many people during the week. I knew the rocks would win. It wasn't arrogance it was complete COMPLETE confidence. Way to go ROCKS:dancingpa

Congratulations to Trinity. It's hard to beat the same team twice in a season..
