How big was that JV QB for Highlands, #1 Seidell.. maybe 5'8 160lbs?

 

Statistically, he may be as large as you guess. However, on the real scale, he is huge. Plays smart, keeps his composure in tough situations, and most of all, is a leader among the JV players.

Yes it is! I'm glad Coach Mueller let the boys know as my son was pretty shook up about the boy.

Prayers out to all the injured. Hope Carter recovers fast. Roller keep your head up and get well soon. Great game by the Birds. Ashland had no answers. Only for the TO and long run back by Tomcats it could have been a shutout.

As for the ejection. Bonner continued his block a little too long and added an extra little shot at the end. Labor saw it and came in and gave a shot back to back up his teammate and Bonner started pushing and shoving. Ref grabbed him and moved him back a couple yards and he pulled out of it with a swing. Don't think he was trying to hit the ref, just trying to get out of it. Automatic, with the ejection.

Smart thing by Dale, pulling his guys together and probably telling them to walk away from all issues. An ejection by an HHS player I think would be a suspension of a game as well.

Late scores were by the two's and I think week kicking game led to the runs on 4th and 2 pt conversion. No upsmanship, just not going to starting kicker back in after you tell him he's done. Anyway, I don't think they made it anyway.

Hope all the folks from Ashland make it back safely and hope to see you again. Man I feel like LN is telling me to type all this.

Sorrry to hear about the serious injuries to the players involved . Hope they both recover quickly. From the few games I saw this year, B. Roller played a significant role both offensively and defensively. He seemed to be the go to guy in the third and long passing situation and seemed to come up with a tough catch when needed. Who steps up to fill his role and will he be missed more on the offensive or defensive side?

Brandon will be missed as a team leader on both sides of the ball equally. Fortunately the Birds are deep and talented and his teammates will fill the gaps just fine. Hogue will get some quality reps at Tight End and Abner will step in at Linebacker! Both of these young men are more than capable of doing the job and the Birds should not miss a beat! Good luck with your recovery Brandon, I cannot wait to see you back on the field next season!

I want to say I met several people from Ashland last night and collectively it was one of the friendliest groups of people I have ever met. I really enjoyed myself last night.
