Congrats to the Tomcats as well…way to turn things around in a positive way in 2008. I’m really proud of how our seniors pulled together this year…thanks for some very memorable moments and setting an example for the underclassmen

 

First Prayers for Rashard Carter and a speedy recovery .A fine young man with a God given talent to play football at a higher level then most and also prayers to the Bluebird player and speedy recovery.

I knew playing the Bluebirds would show the younger players and community how the game must be played to reach the Championship level. .You won't find a better group of (Tomcats)young men who I know will move on and be successful in life .

Bonner was shoved after the play by HHS player and then in return Bonner shoved him bcak and then another HHS player shoved Bonner. Bonner then proceeded to swing and hit the kid and then the ref stepped in as Bonner was swinging again and got the brunt of the hit. Bonner was not intending to hit the ref! The word is he will be suspended for the first two basketball games for Ashland. Bonner is also the starting center on the basketball team.

Actually Tomcat Fan, Bonner shoved Rosenhagen in the back at the end of the play. His teammate Frank didn't like it and decides to shove him back. So in return Bonner swings at Frank and Laber holds Bonner back and thats when the ref ejects Bonner from the game.

Can anybody with some info close to the situation shed some more light on this injury. I was with Highlands team doctor for a little post game activity and he said he made a phone call to the hospital to check on the player and it seems the injury was not as bad as first thought. Doc said originally the kid looked in really bad shape but after reaching the Hospital and receiving some minor tests and treatment, the kid actually was doing really well. Someone please help!!!!:confused:

 

 

Based on a few phone calls, my belief is: that Carter was not injured as bad as first reported. He did not have surgery. He did have blood in his urine and doctors will continue watching him. He was released to his father late Friday night.

 

My prayer remains that both young men (Carter & Roller) recover soon.

I was waiting for info from the other side. I was told that the 1st thing Ashland's coach said after the game to Mueller was we might lose one of our kids. I know this was a very serious situation indeed but someone gave Ashland's coach some very bad information. The world of Text Messages i guess!!! Who knows, but it is very good news that this young man is doing well.

...and at that point the game becomes meaningless. I was very glad to see the kids gather as one and ask the Lord to watch over one their football fraternity brothers...which He did!! Maybe the info Coach got was the best available at that time. I don't know. But all things are possible in the hands of the Lord. May he give His healing touch to Brandon Roller to return to form as soon as he can. He will sorely be missed!...and let's leave the conversation about #44 and the scuffle alone. I'm sure the young man just had a moment he regrets, and thank goodness none of the Bird players got ejected.
