Kenya decleares Thursday a national holiday to celebrate.

Nothing wrong with celebrating the success of a native son imo.

I'll go with you if you want to lead the charge to secede from the union.:thumb:

We'll keep our guns, live on our own coal supply and rely on exports of coal to keep our economy thriving. You in?

Of course, y'all have to probably shoot each other when you were too far gone from black lung disease, etc. But, at least you'd have access to your end-of-life care. :D:p

No they won't. Assisted suicide is illegal. Accidentally blowing your face off during a barrel inspection is still perfectly legal however.

Nope, we'd shoot everyone else simply to ease our own pain.:D You'd be exported to Ohio.

Nah, I'll hire some poor sap to do my work and pay him minimum wage. I'll sit back and make my living off of the sweat and blood of my poor workers.

I'm going to have to change the title of the thread because it is incorrect. It should read President Elect Barack Obama. You'll have to wait until Jan. 20th to use this title.

I'm just kidding. And yes, whether you admit it or not, some of you were already ticked off.

I've been wondering what Hillary Clinton is really feeling today.

I've been wondering what Hillary Clinton is really feeling today.

I have a feeling SNL will let us know this Saturday perhaps.

Yep...we should stick to finger pointing, blame assigning and partisanship. Because that's what has done so well for us. We shold harbor grudges, be closed minded before hearing anything. Everyone else should change, we are right.

And so, yet another cycle of digging in one's heals for no other reason than to be obstinate begins.

When Bush won his second term the Democratic media immediately began saying that he had to move center as a sign of reconciliation. From what I've heard the New York Times has demanded that Obama immediately start implementing their far left agenda, never mind that he hasn't even taken office yet and won't for a couple of months.

Obama said that he knows that there are people that didn't vote for him and that he intends to be their president as well. When he shows that he is anything other then the radical leftist that his record indicates I will give him a chance. The rumors of his appointment of Emanuel as COS is not helping this cause. Emanuel is the Karl Rove of the Clinton administration.

Like I said, I did not support Senator Obama, but this is an historic day in our country. Hopefully, we can move forward and not allow race to be an issue in any debates. I do wish that Obama's mother and grandmother could have lived to see this day as well as Martin Luther King, Jr. Imagine what he would be feeling about his work for racial equality and seeing our country elect an African American to the highest office in the land.

I will pray for Obama. However, I cannot and will not support his liberal policies of pro-abortion, wealth redistribution, etc. The change he plans is not the change America needs. God bless America, please.

If you honestly believe that Obama...or anyone for that matter, is PRO-ABORTION, that's just plain comical.

Here is what I hope about his Presidency.

First and foremost, I hope he is successful.

I hope the conservatives give him a chance.

I hope those who supported him try to be as objective as possible.

No, comical is convincing your self there is a difference in being pro-aboration and being pro-choice. Church it up however you want but it is what it is.

There is a difference ... like it or not.
