02 Ram so let her transfer and go to school for the academics and not run CC because that is THE RULE. MAKE NO EXCEPTIONS and we don't have this problem That's the problem with the waiver. Maybe Mike felt like he couldn't get an athletic scholarship by staying at CC and thought that HHS gave him a better chance.

This thread is moving so fast it's hard to tell what's going on. If anybody hears any concreate breaking news on the situation please share. Was it just a coiencidence this happened today or what? Who decides when the appeals are looked over?

Need to get a reality check, because it aint only Bell County fans that has been saying the kind of things he said all night, from what I have been reading alot of people has been saying the same as ukbellco14 on this situation...

Reality check?? Chill out!! I was statiing I liked his since of humor, and I agree if everything falls into place Bell has a legit beef and knowing the KHSAA and there actions in the past I would have the Bobcats ready, you never know these day.

From what team?

Middlesboro

From what team?
From Middlesboro ,And heck I could maybe round up a few more Lineman from over In Tennessee.
Then what is the purpose on the injuction and getting one? Why not just play anyways until the ruleing is made? Since its the same difference.

Here's the difference- if they don't get the injunction, then Mitchel couldn't have played this season. If they get the injunction and the appeal upholds Mitchell's case, then Mitchell can play and there would have been no controversy. It's not the same difference.

Your basically right. There isn't much of a difference. But if you go on and play it is vertually 100% that the games you played in will be forfeited. An Injunction only makes the situation go on longer.

For those that are out of loop.

The game will played w/o Mitchell.

HHS can still win the title.

If they win it could still be stripped.

The courts didn't have a time frame on this.

All the games are forfeited except the playoff games, all this and more is back in each page about twice.

Deep breath:

Then he transfered for a reason that had to do with athletics.

There is a huge difference.

Middlesboro, ohh forget about it nevermind.........

This is really a sad situation for the rest of the Highlands players, Bell County, Covington Catholic, and the state.

The KHSAA is NOT to fault about this. They have rules in place so they will be followed. The situation was taken out of the KHSAA's hands temporary and its caused a mess. Me being at the game Friday night Id think Bell would probably be playing on Saturday had Mitchell not been on the field.

It looks to me like some people tried to get around the system and didn't succeed in the end. I am glad a proper decision was made even though it was 2 months too late. Good luck to the kids from Highlands. They didn't deserve this.

Just saw where the most ever users online record was broken at 10:00. I guess this thread has spread out statewide.

02 I disagree. This should have been decided in the regular season. I wonder how many other injuctions the KHSAA has fought like this one. Would they have continued this pursuit if HHS lost in the playoffs?

I believe they would.

IMO, when the Mitchell's won the appeal in Campbell County Court, it became a game of hardball.

This case has been on the docket for over a month...so this hearign today is not just out of the blue and not to be punitive of Highlands in the finals.

IMO, HHS will play, but if the latest ruling stands, look for Highlands to be punished next year.
