Could Mitchell have played in a class other than 3A and still be eligible so that it would not be such an issue?

I am afraid to truly make this fair it would take some time to straighten out. The rules as stated before make it clear that the games will resume but for those teams that got beat by a team with what has now been decided as ineligble, probably doesn't sit well with those teams. Unfortunately these kids are learning at an early age, life isn't always fair.

Tell that to all the seniors that played by the rules and one team didn't and still get rewarded. Some punishment should come down for this like in the real world when you don't go by the rules!!!!

No it didn't matter what class he plays in, it is the school not the class.

Mitchell was ruled ineligible by the KHSAA. Was he not? I personally don't blame Mueller too much for playing him. Mueller wants to win and he rolled the dice. But the kid shouldnt have ever been allowed to play.

Let the kid play he's played all yr, if Boyle beats them nobody will have a gripe about who's champion anyway. If hhs win's give the trophy back to khsaa and I'm sure some HHs supporter will buy one just like. But someone should be punished for this kid playing period. I blame the coach he should have made the parents go to court and let the court's make Him let the kid play to clear himself. I also beleive if the coach would have made this kid sit the COA's would have ruled a little faster (maybe not the ruling that everyone at HHs would have liked tho.) How does the kid or kids and their parents that lost their position to this kid feel about this situation. I'd say they are smiling about now.

WOWZER! This seems awqfully interesting!

I agree with you, it's not right that this happened. Their definately does seem to be what seems like an unfair reward for those that don't play by the rules or take a chance on the rules going their way at the expense of a

lot of other people who did things correctly. I just think this whole thing stinks...too many people hurt by someone's decision to play someone knowing that the results could change.

I agree with log mountain boy and i also say we should be playing for the state title

First of all, leave the rest of the players on Highlands out of this. It wasn't the team's fault. And it sounds like you think they're just handing stuff out to Highlands. I don't want to debate whether or not Highlands would be here if they didn't have Mitchell, because we'd never agree, but the last time I checked one player didn't make a team, so give the rest of the team some credit.

But the rest of the team did nothing against us.

Bell 252 yards

Highlands 89

mitchell had two tds and 60 yards

and recovered both fumbles

It's definately not the HHS players fault. You worked your tails off to get where you are. Unfortunately some decisions were made that were totally out of your control that really makes this thing crazy.

HHSballer19,

One player makes a huge difference. Look at Ricky Williams for example. The Dolphins are horrible without him. You take the star player out of the mix at any level its going to hurt. Especially on the highschool level where you have a kid like this that is as good as he is going both ways.

Didn't the whole team know at the start that this may happen. They all knew and all the parents and all the coachs. So don't hand that out!!!!
