Breaking news! Highlands may be losing their best player for the finals!

So what do you want the players to do?

If it were me and I had to make the at the begining of the season I would have waited for the ruling. If I had to make one now, if you go into a iffy situation with you eyes open and the door gets slamed in you face then thats life in the real world. They should not be rewarded for taking a chance and losing. Thats not real or is it fair for all players that did follow the rules.

Mitchell having to sit out in Saturday's game is the icing on the cake to this problem.

Say no more...

The main problem I can see is that the kids from Covington Catholic and Bell County probally see that they are cheated of a trip to Louisville. The Sr's for these team will not get a chance to play at Papa John's. This was their last shot. Kind of like what happen at the Little League World Series 3 years ago with the kid from New York. This is just bad all the way around. Something should have been finalized before the season started period. I feel for all the team involved in this. (Highlands, Bell, Boyle, Covington Cath., and the rest)

How were those kids cheated of going to Louisville? If they wanted to go to Louisville they should have beat Highlands

Fieldler was winning football games when Williams was the running back.

Anyways,

C horn,

Highlands beat Bell Co. and Cov. Cath. with an illegal player. Its like the best player from a neighboring highschool showing up at Bell County and us playing the season with him. Imagine how much better Bell would be with another impact player. It was against the rules and what they did greatly effected Bell's chances of making it the the championship game.

Once again, I said PLAYERS. What do you want the PLAYERS to do?

Then they should have scored more points than Highlands. It wasn't like Highlands was putting 70 and 80 on the board. It's just a reason for the losing teams to whine. This is a high school kid. He's the same age as everyone else. He transferred. He's not 5 years older than the other players on the team. What a joke!....These teams of high schoolers at one school were beaten by a team of high schoolers from another school. They didn't get cheated. The just got pounded by a superior team and went home losers. I would never cry about losing a game because of a transfer. A loss is a loss is a loss.

You are right that a loss is a loss, but the rules state that if you transfer that you have to sit out a year. He didnt and now is getting punished, I hate to hear that because he is a great kid and a great player, but I also do feel bad for the other playoff teams that dont get a chance to actually see if they could've won the title!

bobcat101, Mitchell did not recover the ball in the endzone and mitchell was the one Robbins ran over on his way to his touchdown. Maybe another DB makes that tackle? Talking and speculating is great but lets just let this thing play out and go from there. Bell Co. had a great team and gave the birds all they could handle.

I am by no means a lawyer, but a procedural ruling to me would throw this thing right back into local circuit court. I would be very surprised if there is not another hearing later this week for a permanent or another temporary injunction. It would probably be granted again and Mitchell would then be allowed to play.

Now the decision would need to be made by the staff to play Mitchell or not. If HHS would win with Mitchell and later again lose in the COA, the Birds would be stripped of the title. Any of this sound reasonable

Exactly!

Sold house/rented house/lease to own....to who?

Family member?

It smelled in August and it smells now.

Whats it smell like updog?

RebelBred, are you sure that's what the rule states? I personally know of kids who have played one year and then moved and they were allowed to play. One that comes to mind is Jeremy Britt. Didn't he play varsity at Warren East and then move to Danville and was immediately allowed to play?

Once again, I said PLAYERS. What do you want the PLAYERS to do?

The player along with their team don't go to LOUISVILLE. Because all of them were will to take this chance and lost!!!

Stick to the facts and not each other or this one will be done.

I cant speak for the BELL CO faithful, but I doubt after the way they played last week leaving everything on the field and playing there hearts out, that they did not, GO HOME LOSERS!!!

The player along with their team don't go to LOUISVILLE. Because all of them were will to take this chance and lost!!!

Players don't make the decision as to whether he plays or not.

But they are going to suffer the consequences of that decision.
