No, he played a player that had been ruled ineligible with a TEMPORARY injunction delaying a final decision, knowing that the kid may well be ruled inelligible. It just seems to me that he took an awful risk knowing that the kid could ultimately be ruled ineligible at a later date. He has basically put the season of the entire team at risk for one player. Isn't that pretty much the antithesis of TEAM?

 

Last, why didn't the kid just play at the public school whose district he lived in? If he tranfered to Highlands for the academics then football shouldn't be a factor.

From what I know is cambell co court made an injunction in his behalf to let him play. So the games he played are on the books! Now if they ruled agianst him then he can't play Saturday! But they can't take away all the games he played in because of the injunction was in place!!

Yes, people can be misinformed. Look at Highlands for example they were misinformed when they were told to "go ahead let him play".

You are right 3wishes. As an HHS fan I will live with whatever the KHSAA decides to do even if I don't like it. Lets hope it works out for everyone involved.

I'm off of Bluegrass Preps for 4 hours and this comes up over 440 pages already. I'm shocked and speechless right now.

 

For the record, I want Mr. Mitchell to play and hope that somehow this happens. If Boyle was to win the championship, I want it to be against the best Highlands has to offer. I say let the kid play.

 

The past 24 hours has been very shocking to me, and yet it has to be on Championship week. WOW, It's a shame on what all has took place this week. :cry:

I am afraid to truly make this fair it would take some time to straighten out. The rules as stated before make it clear that the games will resume but for those teams that got beat by a team with what has now been decided as ineligble, probably doesn't sit well with those teams. Unfortunately these kids are learning at an early age, life isn't always fair.
