Players don't make the decision as to whether he plays or not.

The KHSAA did and all knew!!

All Tell, one of my biggest complaints is that the KHSAA hearing officer ruled him eligible. Two, the rule is a joke. There's no rhyme or reason to it. IF Mitchell would have moved to a school outside of the NKY area and his parents moved he would have been ruled eligible like SO many others have done. Because he moved to a different school that is in the NKY it's not legal. What's the difference??

IMO, the move would then have been seen as "legitimate"...

Who knows, maybe KHSAA is secretly using a certain # of miles as a "rule of thumb" to judge whether moves are seen in a positive light... :sssh:

But they are going to suffer the consequences of that decision.

Yes they are, but I'm trying to say that it's not the other players fault that this happened.

I agree 100% that it's not the players fault, but unforutanetly Dale's decision may make the whole team suffer.

Then the other players and their parents should make sure that he who is to blame IMHO is not able to make that kind of decision again.

Can't they just rule that Dale can't coach the game sat. so we can get C-horn on the sidelines and let him show the team how the jet sweep is really run. :)

So I assume you're suggesting that Coach Mueller should be fired? Alltell.

He clearly can't add to six. :D

My gut feeling says that the Mitchell kid will be playing Saturday, and that this will be tied up in the court system for many many months ahead. Either way Boyle is in a no-win game if Mitchell doesn't play. If Boyle wins with out Mitchell they lose (in a lot of people's eyes), and if Boyle loses they lose and I would think they would not want the title handed to them on this court ruling. The only way for Boyle, is to just beat Highlands with Mitchell playing.

Can someone please explain to me what is goin on? ( If it's not to muhc trouble) Did the KHSAA rule before the season and then a court changed it? Or was it vice-versa or am I not even close?

There are 13 pages full of it over and over and over again.

I think the biggest decisions in this situation are still to be made. The "procedural" overturning of the injunction just opens this up to a hearing for a temporary injunctions later in the week.

Possibility #1 - no further court action, HHS forfeits all previous games, plays without Mitchell in the finals and has a chance at being state champion.

Possibility #2 - go to circuit court again later this week, win the injunction, play game without Mitchell and then there is no chance that a state championship could be later stripped from HHS. If COA overturns the injunction record would be 1-14 but HHS still state champions. If no overturn record (14-1) would remain intact and result of state game would still stand.

Possibility #3 - go to court and get injunction. Mitchell plays in game. If HHS wins and COA overturns the injunction-HHS forfeits state win.

Any other possibilities.

You wouldn't see the jet sweep even one time. You also would see #13 taking every snap. You would see the forward pass. Seriously, I do think Mueller is a great coach, I just don't recognize what he's seeing positive in his offensive scheme this year. We'll see if he has any type of spine, because I play Mitchell Saturday, win or lose on the field with my team, as a team, and I don't worry if the game counts or not. If Boyle loses on the field and is given a title, I will gain new respect for them if they don't accept a forfeited title. Play the game, let everyone play, and then let the lawyers argue with each other.

Coach Mueller IMVHO seems to have placed the advantages of playing this one player over the potential detrement of the whole team. It was a poor decision. Coaches are fired for making poor decisions all the time.
