If this infact true what a low blow from Boyle to deliver but it does not surprise me 1 bit. This is the same team who runs fake punts on people up 3-4 TD's

You need to realize you are representing HHS and people come away with bad feelings toward them with comments such as these.

Birdsfan have hit it on the nose. The player in question was rule eligible to play up to now. The Courts have over turn the ruling and have declared the player in question ineligible for the State Title game only. So thats means there should not be any forfeits on Highlands part, as again the player in question was eligible to play. The 3A Title game will go on as plan this Sat. 11:30am. Between Highlands and Boyle Co. Which is the way it should be.

Well, one thing's for sure: with the timing of this ruling, it is clear that somebody (either the KHSAA or the Court of Appeals) really wants to nail Highlands.

 

As for the comment about HHS winning without Mitchell, I think the guru is being way too optimistic about HHS' chances without the kid. He is the best guy on the team, and one of the very best players in the state. The team will have very little time to prepare for BC with him out of the gameplan. HHS beating BC with Mitchell is an iffy proposition. Without him, Boyle Co should be considered the favorite.

 

One last thing: I am hearing from some that this issue is not over, and that there will be more court stuff this week.

 

Can Mitchell even practice with the team at this time?

Unfortunately, it's a chance that's taken when the temporary injunction was sought.

 

About the timing... Though it seems suspicious, it's not much different than the timing on the Yates case last year (though that was ONE day before the regional semi).

Both teams are notorious for running the score up.

I have a feeling if this stays up it could break the all time reply record! I would venture to say that it has broken the record for hits in a day. The only funny thing about this whole thing is that this thread will have more hits then the Notre Dame fires their coach thread! Guess this shows our passion for KY High School Football!

Highlands Football this season has already been tarnished enough with this whole situation. I think posters like Birdsfanatic and all those accusing Boyle of foul play are just making it worse. Trust me guys, Highlands doesnt need your help. :sssh:

I am going to use a quote from one of Watusi post.

 

The temporary injunction did give the OK for Mitchell to play, but was subject to be overturned by the higher court. Which happened and which also means that the injuction was never valid. So we revert back to the original KHSAA ruling of ineligibility as the prevailing ruling on the case.

 

These risks were known going in.

Its ok that Highlands posters put things like Highlands 15 Bell 10....Plus ask how it feels, because it does hurt to know that we lost, but we still whipped Highlands tails for pretty much the whole game...Highlands game out on top but Bell beat Highlands in every way a team could beat a team accept for the score on the scoreboard...

 

I still think Shawn Robbins was in when he streched in for the TD on the one yard line...
