Put Cobb in at QB against Arkansas and it's a loss because of the simple fact there would be no one to have caught the 2 td's that lead to the win. Cobb is 3 times better than Hartline and the offense looks 10 times better when he's at QB.

We have all the right to question this call, we are UK fans, and if you haven't taken a look at the numbers you should, because the only person who can move the ball is Cobb. Personally, I think if cobb was our QB from the start of the arkansas game we wouldnt have had to come back by that much in the first place. We dont expect that much, but I do expect a starting QB in the SEC to be able to manage a game and hit an open target. Like its been said before, if you can't get the ball to your best target (Cobb), then why not make the switch? I am not trying to start a fight but it is crazy if you think we are expecting too much, we just notice the obvious, and that is that Cobb is the best chance we have to mgo bowling this year. Period.

I mean is it that hard to figure out coach Brooks???????????????????? Hartline SUCKS, don't even put him on the scout team, don't even let him be the water boy, just let the man go and let him get his education, hopefully in the classroom he isn't dropping his books like he does the football..
October 26, 200817 yr Cobb proved today that he is the man for the job. He impressed me today the way he moved the ball. He made some very nice passes and moved the ball with his feet when he couldn't throw the ball. Hartline will start and play the majority of the game, I have no idea why. It truly is a sad situation. I've supported Brooks and Co. for a while, but this is where it ends. I don't care who we have coming in next year, the next game means something. This team has a chance to go to a bowl game, Cobb gives us that chance. With Hartline at QB, we would be extremely lucky to win 1 more game.
October 26, 200817 yr Put Lindley back there since he is the best player on the team. It can't be any worse! I am being sarcastic but really it wears me out how UK's offense and special teams play this year. UK has the best defense I remember them having. If the offense + special teams would quit turning the ball over they can play with anybody when healthy! They have a GREAT punter and the defesne is loaded. Blocked kicks for scores, returned int's for TD's is not acceptable. Protect the ball, take some shots downfield to soften the defense and move the chains. The defense will keep them in games! I don't see how in the world you don't give Cobb a chance at QB. I know he will be a WR next year but this game they are playing for a bowl!
October 26, 200817 yr Does Joker deserve any blame in Hartline's play this season? After all, he's in the booth calling the plays. I think you all are giving Brooks way to much credit. I think if Hartline does start Randy Sanders & Joker will have been the ones who swayed that decision.

First of all, Joker Phillips does not coach the quarterbacks at UK, Randy Sanders does. Coach Sanders has coached Mike Hartline very well in managing the game. Coach Phillips calls the plays and that is a difficult task with the offensive personnel he is dealing with. Mike Hartline is extremely limited in ability in passing the football at the collegiate level. I personally do not think it is the coaching, it is a lack of talent issue.

October 26, 200817 yr Can we just clone Cobb somehow???? I have to agree, Cobb is our best option at: QB, Kick Return, WR, etc. He is the playmaker for this team and has no real help on Offense.
