Have you heard how Bracken County's 4th grade Ice is doing,have they played the Wildcats yet?

I am pretty sure that is who the Wildcats beat in the first game..I heard Bracken was up 6-0 and the Wildcats went on a 30-0 run..The NKY Wildcats were the U9 AAU State Champs last year. I don't know if anybody can hang with them in this tourney..

Congrats to the U12 Wolfpack. I heard the scoring went Stanley 14, Robinson 12 and Moeves 10.

Handles the ball like a point guard, sees the floor extremely well, had several assists, rebounds/defends, and finishes at the rim. At the U12 level, he is an impossible defensive match-up with his size and the way he can run the floor.

Omega Rhinos finish runner-up in the U11 BCI Tournament this weekend. They lost in the finals to Ohio Prep 45-37... Ohio Prep was a 5/6th grade team from Northern Cincinnati. Probably the best tournament the Rhinos played all year so far..Ohio Prep has a really nice ball club that reminded me alot of a Cincinnati Knights type team..

Stanley is hard to guard. Robinson, the 5'8" point guard is also a tough matchup. That team's transition game is fun to watch....they get up and down the floor.

NKY Wildcats beat KY Elite in the finals of the U10 Mason Co.Tournament 36-19...NKY Suns and Mason Co. in finals of U11....

NKY Warriors beat Old Spice RedZone 47-38. Score is much closer than it was. Here is the boxscore and summary.

Frederick and Ward pretty much combined for all of Redzone's first qtr points. Witte had 5 in the first for Warriors. Warriors pulled away in 2nd by breaking the press and scoring some easy layups. 25-20 at the half and a pretty good game. The 3rd qtr was where the onslaught began. Warriors jumped in a trapping 3/2 halfcourt zone and created several easy baskets off steals. They outscored Redzone 17-2 that qtr. and jumped ahead 42-22. In the 4th the Warriors got lax and started playing not to lose but credit RedZone for playing hard the entire game. Frederick hit some acrobatic shots and nailed a couple 3's in the 4th. He must have had 22 of their 38, he is very quick and can drain the 3.

 

Balanced effort by the Warriors. Devoto led with 10 pts on 2 big 3pters. Witte-7, McCoy-8, Grosser-8, and Christian pulled down 10 rebounds.

In the Warrior Classic at Somerset the Albany Bulldogs 10/u won their 2nd straight tournament with a 20 point victory over Richmond. Generation Next, a 4th grade team won the 11/u tournament over Legacy by 3. Generation Next may be the best 10/u team in the state. I know the Wildcats defeated them in the state finals last year but they have really improved and grown. Does anyone know if they have played each other yet?

I don't think they have...The Wildcats have gotten alot better also..Should be a good U10 State Tourney...

I know school ball is probably keeping most U13 and U14 teams from playing, but has anyone seen the Legends, Elite, Ville, Truth or Rising Stars play from either age group?

 

Will the Legends be the hands down favorite at U13? How about the Ville at U14?

Only a 6 point win over the Outlaws? Any details.

Because I had heard so much about this 6th grade Tigers team, I wanted to see them play. When my grandson was done with his games, I got an opportunity to watch the tigers play against the wolfpac team(I think). I do not like to steal any teams thunder, but I do not recall any player on the wolfpac team that stood-out from the other players. I do not recall a player scoring 27 points or is it 35 points on that Tigers Team in the G-Town tournament. I do remember the wolfpac team getting a ton of layups because the tiger team looked like they were learning a new defense. However, the only two kids I remember were the Tigers point guard and another Tiger kid that look like he play linebacker for the steelers. I asked my grandson the same question and he could only remember the Tigers point guard(the kid can play). I also recall the tigers being up by 12 or more and than it appears the Tiger coach started working on different defenses and subing in 5 players for 5 players. I truly do not think the Tiger coach was playing just to win. That was obvious. I was also at the Omega Flight game as well. I think it should be told that the Omega team got a BIG break because the Tiger team had to played Back-to-Back games. There was no break between the games. It was like the Tigers played 8 quarters in one game. I do not think the Tiger coach knew they had to play back-to-back because that team played full court pressure man-to-man the hold game before the Omega Game. They also played full court man-to-man in the Omega Game. That Tiger team was extremely exhausted. It was obvious the Tiger Coach was working on developing defensive man-to-man skills. If I was the parents or the coach of these two teams(wolfpac and Omega), I would not compare my competative level against that Tiger team based on those games. This is the first time in a long time I saw a AAU coach put developing his kids ahead of just winning a game. Bragging is sometimes the reason all these AAU coaches run up the scores.
