KY Elite beat Illinois-Missouri Elite - who had 3-4 kids from last years national champion Arkansas Mutangs and lost earlier this year to Houston Select by 1 - by 24 in their first ever game. The front line was 6-7 (Belter from Dorton), 6-4 (Johnson from Sayre) and Portwood. Johnson may or may not end up Elite all the way (his dad lives in NY and played nationals with the Gauchos last year). The entire team was pretty impressive. They won their second game by 32. Johnson had 14 and 9 in the first game and Snoop Johnson from LTMS was in double figures both games.

BCI had some good games tonight in the u10 bracket. Jackson County beat up on the Wolfpack but the Wolfpack played very well against the N. Laurel Elite and beat them. NKY Wildcats beat BCK by 40 plus then defeated the Cincy Knights by 4. I believe Jackson County played the Knights at 9pm but I didn't stick around for that.

Any updates from Sports Plus? I know all three Tarheels teams where playing up there, and Omega and the Magic.

Omega Rhinos 11u beat Lakota (MIB) and the Loveland Tigers today to win their pool at Sports Plus..I am pretty sure both of those teams play at McGee's in Mason..

He needs alot of work. He is very raw. But he does have one thing you can't teach, HEIGHT. I would not rank him in the top 10 middle school players in the 15th region. But looks like he is trying to get better

I don't know where he ranks in the 15th region, but he is top 3 in Pike County definitely. Averaging 20 points, 10+ rebounds, and 7+ blocks is pretty impressive. He had 13 triple doubles this season in 30+ games against 8th graders. He is a little raw, but works very hard and has improved wonders from last season when he averaged 4+ points per game.

I must say that after seeing both the Legends and the Elite play in the U13 division....At this point, the Elite are the favorites to win D1 state. I don't see any team (with or without Charles Johnson) playing with their height! They have 5 legitimate 6' +++++. If they keep #30 Charles Johnson for Nationals, they should win D1 Nationals.

It's actually Dakari Johnson (6-4 from Sayre) who you are speaking of. Charles Snoop Johnson is a guard from LTMS.

Thanks for the correction. Let us know the outcome/details of the Semi's and Championship from today at MidAmerica.

Good luck fellas! Who have been the standouts for the team?

No real standouts everyone has contributed. I believe Eric Anderson led Omega in scoring this past game..:thumb:

KY Elite just lost 33-27 to Miss-Ill Elite in the finals. Miss-Ill slowed the tempo after losing by 24 yesterday and KY missed a lot of close looks in the first half. It was a one-point game late when KY had to start fouling. It was definitely a matchup of two of the better teams in the nation Without ever practicing as a full unit KY Elite still had a successful weekend.

In the semis KY Elite beat the KY Gators by 14 but 15 missed FTs prevented it from being much worse. Miss-Ill Elite beat the Legends by 24 in the other semifinal.

Omega Rhinos 11u lost in the semis to the Cincy Knights by 4...Omega didn't play very well at all. Good weekend overall though for the Rhinos..

NKY Suns win the U11 division at Midwest Hoops this weekend by beating the Cincinnati Knights by 9. Nice tournament for Midwest Hoops. They had 12 teams in the U11 division. It seemed like each age group had a nice set of teams.

This thread has gone on far too long.

We need individual or maybe weekly threads.
