AAU Basketball

Featured Replies

Stanley probably had his best game in G-Town that evening. I saw him play @ the BCI against a middle school team and he couldn't hit a shot. The fact is that they are all kids and will have good and bad games. The goal of the Omega Teams is to prepare kids for the next level, that being high school, not to go out and search for the best in NKY, have try-outs, and focus on only winning the state AAU Tournament. It is all about getting better with each practice and each game as a team!

That is correct. Any chance they give first 3 teams a bye?

Looks like the top 3 did, good luck to all.

Brackets are up.

I know all of the players on Omega and most of the parents and this is not a correct statement. If it were all the kids would be going to the same high school instead of potenially 3 different ones. I'm pretty sure Omega is together to win AAU tournaments, otherwise, why the pat on the back for winning a league that had no competition for them? Just curious????

No....I believe he had 27 pts against the Tigers. In school ball he's allowed to roam around a bit. In AAU those Wolfpack guards are feeding him under the bucket. Until some team takes that away that team will be very successful.

:thumb: Same with the NKY Warriors 14U. Nice post.

I like the 14U bracket for sure. Warriors are on the same side as the Bulls but wont be surprised if they end up playing the Wolfpack (Geiman) in 1st round game.

Trying to figure out how the Bulls got the bye and the Flash didn't. Tried to find out if the Flash lost their last game, but the standings aren't current.

It's unfortunate that the loser's bracket was removed from the U14 tourney. Should still be fun though!

I'm wondering if they didn't play their last game... I don't remember seeing them on Sunday, unless it got reschedule... But Hey nothing is final till tomorrow as Perry says...

Good call Q on the bye format... You must be reading Perry's mind... Good luck to ya.

Anyone know who is in the 10u and 11u divisions for this tournament?

I know the U10 NK Wildcats play Bracken County and Scott County, Saturday night.

Well, I figured they would have 10 teams fighting to play the top 3. I think they could have still had a loser's bracket and wiped out those teams in one weekend to see who would play the top teams the following weekend. Oh well, the Warriors have to win 3 tough ballgames. You dont deserve to win the thing if you cant win every game right?

Good Luck to the all the teams its been a nice season out there and looking forward to the 2nd session.

Are there any brackets to this tourney available, does anyone have any that they could put on here? Thanks.

What high school will they go to?

I think you can put together a team for the purpose of making them better for the next level and still have goals of winning tournaments. What AAU team does not want to win tournaments?

Is it Omega's fault there was no competition in their league? Why did the Wolfpack not play in this league?

Finally, I agree with 3breds2b. If a team's goal was to win D1 State, they would be pulling players together from miles away and not just locally. I heard a rumor the Wolfpack's coach contacted Omega before the start of the year about making one team and Omega said No Thanks. From what I read sounds like a good group of local kids playing real good basketball together. So what if they go to 3 different high schools.
