October 7, 200817 yr The deep ball he caught in the first half was NOT Off. pass interference... I agree.
October 7, 200817 yr We had a lot of penalties and y'all moaning about holding calls, and I was there and I saw some things that wasn't called too. Surprised y'all went there. I'll watch my tape and I watch the 0-line to be fair. How come I don't see the plays on Julio that were called back? Whose moaning about holding calls. You were using the 100 yards in penalties as one reason for the close game. I was pointing out a good deal of those came on holding penalties because the oline was getting used. They could have called more and should have called the one on the 78 yard TD run. Even the commentators pointed it out as a blown call. I agree that the Jones PI call on the previous play was blown as well.

October 7, 200817 yr The fumble killed the Cats... The fumble hurt. The inability to run the football killed the Cats.
October 7, 200817 yr The deep ball he caught in the first half was NOT Off. pass interference... He did extend his arms and gain an advantage IMO. The last time I checked thats offensive pass interference. It was close, but I really can see an argument either way.

You're begging if you think that was offensive PI. There was also another call later in the game that went against Jones, battling against Trevard Lindley. Jones was flagged for offensive PI, and I thought that was a very ticky-tack call. But it worked out for my Cats, so I wasn't complaining.

Watch Coffee's big run on tape and then come back and we can talk about whether or not there was a hold.
October 8, 200817 yr Julio only had about 5 balls thrown his way. If some of these posters are not still mentioning the Non calls against them they must not watch much football. I was there when the crowd was booing the refs, why would they do that? Just because the color guy says it, it must be true. There is an old saying in football...they can call holding on every play. Good Luck on Saturday.

Good Luck on Saturday. It gets talked about on a 70 yard touchdown run when it was pretty obvious. Understand that?

Good Luck on Saturday. If UK doesn't fumble for a scoop and score and holds onto some passes this doesn't figure in the outcome. Since those mistakes are on UK it is their fault that they lost. However, the hold was blatant and at the point of attack. Without it Coffee is looking a DL right in the face at the line--you'll see it when you watch the replay. As for the crowd booing, how many times have you been at a game where the home team was called for a bunch of penalties and they didn't boo, doesn't matter if they were correct or not--they're going to boo. Bama was the better team and deserved to win but they weren't that much better. Our unforced fumble and dropped passes cancel out y'alls fumbles and missed field goals. Those were two pretty much even teams going at it on Saturday. Personally, I don't hold anyone except the Cats responsible for the loss Saturday and I'm glad Bama is back from the dead, it is better for the SEC when Bama is good. It is insulting however, when you talk like the Tide should have crushed the Cats when there were unforced errors and questionable calls against both teams--the score was about how it should have been.
October 8, 200817 yr Pass to Julio is caught and the ball is on the Cats 30 or so, penalty, ball on Bama 's 30. 1st quarter with us up 14-0. Where did I insult anyone's team? Ever? Bama was leading the SEC in the fewest penalties, top 5 nationwide. Then we have all these because "Thats the only way we can stop the Cats great defense". Now who is being insulted? Georgia had two block in the backs on their punt for a TD return last week. Two, now where did I mentioned that more than once? Out scored us 30-10 in the 2nd half. That was a huge play. I moved on.
October 8, 200817 yr Overall UK played decent. Passing game frustrates me, but that is because their receiving corps aside from Lyons is not that good. I thought UK d-line played admirably...after getting socked early they grinded it out. Bama is good...did just enough to win. Larry, Bama only has 8 seniors on scholarship? Good golly.
