October 5, 200817 yr I've heard that how many years in a row now? I know, but the Vols barely escaped versus Northern Illinois last night 13-9. This might be the end of the Fulmer era, but lets hope not.
October 5, 200817 yr Doesn't matter how well the defense played. You can't score 14 points and expect to win at AlabamaI agree. Now if they were playing Auburn....
October 5, 200817 yr Just got back from the game and a great time in Tuscaloosa. My quick thoughts: 1. The reason for all of Alabama's holding calls in the first half was bcause they could not stop UK's front 4. I'll put UK's D-line and CB's up against any unit in the country. 2. Hartline improved as the game went and his deep passes are 100% better than the start of the season. But, this is the second no contact fumble that he has had this season. 3. UK's defense was better than Bama's offense. 4. Bama has the best defensive team speed and hitting I have seen in a long time, much better than last year's much ballyhooed LSU defense IMO. 5. Tuscaloosa is unlike any other gameday setting I have ever been to, also, without a doubt the classiest fans in the country. 6. Kentucky exploited some major issues Bama must resolve to compete for the National Title, likewise, Kentucky could very easily win 9 games, but they could also win as few as 5. I too was at the game and your No. 5 is right on. Loudest place i've ever been and ALL of the Bama fans I was surrounded by were awesome. We had a great time before, during, and after the game. The guys played as hard as any UK team i've watched. Now, if we can win the games we should from hear on out, 9 wins is very realistic.
October 5, 200817 yr I just got back from this one. Alabama has the most amazing setting for college football that I've ever seen. I can not imagine how they can't get any recruit that they want. I don't have the words to describe how awesome it is, all I can say is you HAVE to go to a game there sometime. They also have the most classy, educated football fans I have ever come across. Despite the loss, this was an unbelievable trip.
October 5, 200817 yr Ok, my thought after letting it all soak in. I think UK wins 10 games this season. So they who will they beat out of UF, UGA, and Vandy? because I see them losing all 3 of those games..

October 5, 200817 yr So they who will they beat out of UF, UGA, and Vandy? because I see them losing all 3 of those games.. They can beat Vandy....No way they beat Florida or Georgia IMO.
October 5, 200817 yr I think they will beat Vandy and UGA. I don't see them beating both, I could see Vandy but not UGA..
October 5, 200817 yr They can beat Vandy....No way they beat Florida or Georgia IMO. No reason to think its impossible to win any of those three games.
October 5, 200817 yr No reason to think its impossible to win any of those three games. They've given no reason to think they'll beat either Florida or Georgia IMO.
October 5, 200817 yr They can beat Vandy....No way they beat Florida or Georgia IMO. I agree, they could beat Vandy, but I don't see them beating UGA, and then turning around the next week and beating Vandy.. I see them finishing up at 7-5, maybe 8-4..
October 5, 200817 yr No reason to think its impossible to win any of those three games. It's just hard to say that this UK team, whose offense is no where near their's of last season, will go into Gainesville and beat the Gators..the defense is good but they won't hold teams like they did Alabama every week..

Despite the loss, this was an unbelievable trip. I can't even count the number of fans who came up just to welcome me and my crew to Tuscaloosa and wish us luck. I sat in the "Tide Pride" chairbacks in the upper level and as I left the game I was told over and over how "UK played a great game! Good luck the rest of the season"... I was also blown away with the number of fans offering to feed us at their tailgates. The only negative story from my trip was with two of the members of our group who sat in Sec. 429. A gentleman who had tailgated a little too hard was being raucous and asking our friends "Why UK doesn't want to make it competitive?" after the score was 14-0, but before they could respond an older Alabama fan walked down, tapped the gentleman on the shoulder, and said "These folks payed alot of money to come down here and cheer for their team and you will respect that". The gentleman apologized and then introduced himself and behaved the rest of the game. CLASS
October 6, 200817 yr You need to have the odometer checked on your car. I know I typed Knoxville, but I really just meant Tennesse, no need to drive any further than the state line to drop someone off, Jellico is a fine place.
