Alabama 17 UK 14

Featured Replies

Still down here. Momma did well but too much walking for her. Limps with her bad leg but we took our time. Spent way too much money buying Bama stuff. Going to Hibbetts in a few minutes. I have a super wife. God has blessed me so much.

Nice comments about Bama/Fans. I also enjoyed talking to the Cats and they were surprised when I told them we live in Louisville.

Up 14 and driving I aid some things to the Cats behind me and wished I never said anything, next play we fumbled. Missed easy field goal and at the half 24-0 would have been fun...for us.

Mike McCoy # 80 our leading wideout didn't play.

Cats dropped some throws and the QB fumble killed them.

Wonder why they didn't at least try to throw in down field to maybe give our D something to think about?

The moving pocket in the second half gave the QB more time.

We had two fumbles inside the 15 and two missed field goals, 100 yards in penalties. Will watch the replay when I get home, but called home and talked to Brother-In -law and was told the catch by Julio was a bad call by the ref and that was a 45 yard penalty.

Cats "D" played very well and Micah would have helped I'm sure.

Hope the Cats win out....Cards too.

Lastly I was hoping we would drop a little and the Cats win next week and they will get plenty respect.

WHEW!

Cats played outside of their minds against a great team. This is why the SEC is the toughest conference in the country, and this years SEC is as tough as any in the last 10 years.

Despite all the nay sayers, this team with a few breaks could win out this season! Alabama was holding the whole game because that was the only way to stop D-line, the 78 yard touchdown should have come back but the ref didn't see the right guard holding. Fun game to watch.

GO CATS!!

Cats played outside of their minds

Not at all. They made a ton of mistakes.

If they had played out of their minds, they would have won.

^ I'd have to agree with Brooks. I was wondering several times where our safeties were, particulary on the 78 yard td run and when Lindley had to go one on one in the hole and the guy barely got the first down.

Suspended and hurt.

Suspended and hurt.

Sad, but true.

Harrison is not the answer, he looked lost.

'Bama scored on the very next play anyway. And there was a hold in the middle of the line when Coffee broke that 70+ yard run up the middle that wasn't called.

All in all, a little sloppy but a pretty good game. I don't believe in moral victories, but this game showed me that Kentucky can compete with anyone. And I think they can beat anybody at home.

All I can say about this game is, Alabama try their best to give it UK,but UK say no we don't want it, so here Bama you can have it back.

Not just in the middle but on the lineman that Coffee ran by.

And I don't buy the 100 yards in pentals against Alabama. A ton of those came on obvious holds. Alabama's oline was getting beat on every play.

We had a lot of penalties and y'all moaning about holding calls, and I was there and I saw some things that wasn't called too. Surprised y'all went there.

I'll watch my tape and I watch the 0-line to be fair.

How come I don't see the plays on Julio that were called back?

The Alabama fans that I talked with after the game said all the holding calls were a direct result of the speed and quickness of UK's D-Line. They were very complimentary. As for the call on Julio Jones, I called it before the flag. They could have called offensive interference on him on just about every ball thrown to him. I'd say that is just his inexperience.

I disagree with all of your statements except that the SEC is the toughest conference in the country.

1. Kentucky did not play "outside of their minds" against Alabama. The 2008 edition of

the Wildcats is very competitive defensively and it will keep them close with a

chance to win any ballgame. I did not feel they played well at Alabama.

2. I do not think Alabama is a great team. They are very young and talented, but I

think as the season goes on, we will see they are not a great team.

3. I do not think this year's SEC is as tough as it has been in the last ten seasons. I do

think that with Vanderbilt and Kentucky now fielding very competitive teams, the

SEC is more balanced than it has been in the past ten years. I feel that this

season, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, and Tennessee teams are not as strong as

teams these schools have had in the last five years.

Sorry "tenaciousD" I am not trying to be difficult, just honest.

The deep ball he caught in the first half was NOT Off. pass interference...
