How many seats is WKU supposed to have in their new stadium?

Also are the new facilities going to to include anything similias to the Brown and Williamson Club? That place caters to a ton of the people at the games and remember the weather issue, it is an excellent place to escape to, meet and greet old friends and enjoy meeting others.

For those opposed to BG, have you guys ever been to Western's campus? If so was it recently? It's really nice, parking available and very nice stadium, especailly after the construction is complete

It will have apx 22k seats

I believe they are saying it could hold at least 25k for concerts and stuff

I'm sure there will be suites in the new expansion, but I doubt you can see Churchill downs from there :lol:

The pictures of the renovated stadium look nice. What is the average attendance for the state finals? I know if X and T play they probably have at least 15k, but what about the other games?

I'm not familiar with the facilities at WKU, so I didn't know they were on the level with UofL. :thumb: But my question was also directed at attractions not related to football.

 

Western has First Class Facilities with LT smith being renovated just this past year, It seats about 20,000 so it wouldnt look as empty as papa johns does. BG has sufficient Hotels in the area and it DOES have a night life it is primarily a college town so there are def bars in the area. It has plenty of restaurants and im pretty sure it has a mall too but dont quote me on that. BG IMO is a better fit on paper than Louisville but Louisville wins the location argument. BG is still too far west

It does if fact have a mall. Plenty of the typical places exist in which to spend your money.

Will you guys look at a map, BG is not any further west than Louisville, its almost directly South of it.

 

BG has everything you could want, its a college town, TONS of restaurants, mall, hotel's shopping, plus I think the town would rally behind the event and make a MUCH bigger deal about it, its seems to me Louisville has become complacent with holding the event like its their right to host and theirfore don't put the same effort into it

It usually gets bigger as the classes get bigger. Outside of an all-Louisville 6A final, however, you will rarely see more than 10,000 for a state final. Western can hold it with room to spare.
