How about 6 state championship football games...Isn't that the purpose? I didn't realize the bar scene or night life had a whole lot to do with a HS football game...

I thought your whole argument was about all the stuff to do in Louisville. If we're just talking about getting to the game and then leaving town.....

 

You can get to ANYWHERE in Louisville on one of three interstates, very easily.

Awe, shucks, I thank thirs a country store or 2 with a couple of chicker boards..thad be fun, woodnt it.....Like others have said, there's numerous shops, sites, museums, bars, hotels, etc... Plenty of things to do for those who want to do it... Isn't that about what Louisville has or do they have some wonderful attraction that would draw hundreds or thousands of people outside of the above mentioned things?

The games will be just as successful in BG, if the people in Louisville don't like it, they don't have to come, that simple, the rest of the state has had to commute for years, won't hurt people in Louisville to drive a little

Doesn't have anything to do with the drive whatsoever. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why it should be moved, other than the fact that it will give it a small town feel, or however you all said it...

Logistics involving Louisville and the Big East.

 

I'm not saying it SHOULD be moved, but the above may not leave the KHSAA with a choice.

Yea UL has plans to take a beat down that week so it has to be moved

To answer you repetitive question: I think it would be better in BG because it would be a bigger event, more publicity, less competition, a smaller facility, but still plenty big enough.

 

Other then the drive, that everyone is concerned with, both to Louisville and BG, I think most fans would come away with a better experience in BG over Louisville.

If the city of Louisville shares your attitude of entitlement then I can understand why they don't host more...

 

Entitlement? Just find it odd that the largest city in the state, with the most student athletes, would not host 1 state title in the 20-30 events, male and female, the state has.

 

The entitlement argument works better when people form certain areas of the state feel they are entitled to funds from other areas of the state. :lol:

There's no arguement that Louisville has better nightlife and more to do than Bowling Green. I think the point is getting missed here.
